It was enjoyable. Loved it. TD though was driving me nuts.

Al Jefferson, your MAX contract is coming soon from Mr. Morey.

$80 mil/5 yrs for Harden is a ridiculous contract, but Morey is a idiotic douche so this was bound to happen. Harden is about as close to a star as Monta Ellis or Kevin Martin are/were.

He's not MJ in his prime but he's pretty damn good.
edit: and without a doubt better than Ellis & Martin

If he gets near Brandon Roy level, his extension will be a bargain.

I'd say he was worth every penny. Wow.

Not a bad game by Lin either.

12 Pts 8 Asst 4 Reb 4 Stl 4 To

Would have done better if it wasn't for almost fouling out and sitting the 3rd quarter.

But the most important stat....Houston was down 10 points with Lin on the bench. Lin came back in, they cut the the lead and win....just like his time here with the Knicks. He was +23 tonight. :o

Rockets bench is trash though.

Because we have Toney Douglas and Marcus Morris leading us to failure.

Toney Douglas needs to be shipped to the D-League.

Oh freaking damnit. The Douglas excuse followed Lin to Houston.

Harden is a max player. Even Jonathan Tjarks knew that

harden imo is better than westbrook he contributes a lot more to winning than russ does that is for sure. harden was second to kd in terms of contributions to wins

Methinks that a few more games need to be played before we throw the crow on the grill. The kid had an amazing game, but the Jordan and Lebron comparisons are a bit premature.

My few p's

1. Its the Pistons

Not for nothing but aside from the Bobcats the Rockets probably played the most underwhelming and least talented team in the NBA in the Pistons. So a lil bit of temperance is probably in order here before anyone should start javking themselves to Hardens "super stardom".

2. Hardens a Winner

That said...Harden strikes me as the type of player that makes team a perennial winner. Hes kind of in the Manu Ginobili mold in that he just makes the team so much better than when hes not on the floor. Not from last nights game since I missed it but during his time with OKC...you can see it. Obviously you can never have too many guys like that.

3. That contract

I think its about market value. Not overpaid. Not underpaid. This is based on what other guys in his position are being paid. Ultimately though...way too early to tell if its worth it. But if I had to guess id probabk y say it will be worth it...not just what he does on the floor and his ability to be a fan favorite but also if hes able to attract that star players (something that Morey and the Rockets have been trying to do for years without success).

What a blow to Lin, it ends the chance for Rockets to get better in the long run.
Are you fans of the team or the player?

Damn growing up I really should have taken playing bastketball much more seriously. I like Harden, good player but thats way too much money for him. These salaries have quickly gotten ridiculous again, and guess what Im tired of blaming agents and players. The owners and gms are as much to blame if not more...

If he puts up 20/5/5 on the year and they make the playoffs with that weak frontline, then yeah he's definitely worth the money.
