If this does happen, Brooklyn easily becomes the 2nd best team in the East and a legitimate threat to Miami.

Deron
JJ
Pierce
Garnett
Lopez

Looks great on paper but I think it would be this season's Lakers all over again... too old and slow to play anything resembling an NBA defense.

Lol to easily becoming the 2nd best team in the East. They just finished a season where they lost to a battered Bulls team in the first round.

No IND + DROSE with CHI are still better. Some of yall are overrating KG and Pierce, both are 36 and 37 years old.

i don't think angie cares though because they're championship window would coincide with their rebuilding years. you're getting what.. maybe 3 years max with kg & pierce and jj seems to be breaking down.

not to mention lopez's injury history.

Trading 3 1st rounders for 2 old players.

We should try to get KG though ... He'll waive his No Trade Clause to come here if Lala gives up the Box.

Yeah but if Boston is Tanking it dont matter. KG and PP wont be around. It does not hurt Boston at all.

This trade does nothing but make BK better.

theyre giving up total trash and getting very good vets in return. They lose nothing but gain a lot in this deal.

we become the 5th best team in the East and a definite 1st round out if this goes through. Grunnie needs to make a power move quickly.

I think BK is gonna get raped ultimately in terms of how these picks play out. Ainge is no dummy and he knows he can get Billy King to cough up picks that will end up being lottery. BK will have a few years of 2nd/3rd round exits and best and will go through a decade of being awful. SMH at Knicks fans who are jealous of BK here.

Yeah, they'll contend for a year, and after that they'll be old, overpaid, with no draft picks.

(i) They get a 36 and 37 year old which, as we saw last year with LA, guarantees nothing and

(ii) why make a "power move" when odds are Boston will never agree to take back Gerald Wallace.

Brooklyn is in a win now mentality. This trade will make them better for the next 2 years and easily better than the Knicks for the next 2 years.

Dont see how anyone can deny that.

Doesn't follow that it's a good trade for BK.

KG and Pierece have at least two more years left in them. We all hate the Nets but facts are, on paper, this trade helps them much more than it hurts and it effectively makes them better than us. Pierce as a 3rd option and KG helping Blowpez on the boards? Sheeeeeeit.

Ainge dont care aboit Wallace. He wants to tank for Wiggins. Thats the endgame.

not to mention their two top bench players would be Marshon Brooks and Reggie Evans....

They are likely flipping Brooks for the pick they would be giving to Boston, too. Everyone PANIC.

So what? They'll have too short of a window to build a team that can really contend and Billy King will ensure that any hope the Nets have for re-upping around Deron/Brook will be thrown out the window.
