Seriously though...that just pretty much is a statement of the mentality of the Knicks players.

I wouldn't be that engaged if I knew Melo was taking the last shot no matter what, and thats not just on Woodson, Melo still has this massive end of game ego. I remember D'Antoni drawing up a play for someone else to take the last shot and Melo pouting. He's 2/19 in the last 2-3 years but he still thinks he should take contested 21fts for the win ].

Can't disagree with you there. But also knicks don't have many options. Shump? Hell no. Failton? Timmy is a rook and unproven, would like to see him get a shot soon. Amar'e? TO waiting to happen. JR last season took quite a few late shots but he ain't the same JR this season.

It's certainly not totally Melo's fault. Woodson is partly to blame for not being able to draw up anything other than an iso. Additionally, Woodson plays Melo so many minutes that he is too tired to reliably hit a contested clutch time shot.

However, it is fallacious to say that we shouldn't rely on someone else. Case in point? There are only two scenarios worse than 2/19 which are 1/19 and 0/19. Do you really believe we could be any worse than 2/19 if we drew up a play for an open man than just doing an iso Melo?

Currently the only guy on this team other than Melo i would draw up a play for is Timmy. Maybe JR if he is having a hot shooting night. Let's compare that to Houston for instance that have, Parsons, Howard, and Lin.

If someone can help me out with this question, Who would not be on the team if we resigned Lin to the poison pill contract? besides Felton, I can't think of anyone.

A real PG who can play now with potential to continue to improve and a professional work ethic > any point you could make here.

Steve Mills? That would be the only other obvious one.

maybe they should revisit the Bobby Brown angle for the next 30 games

Udrih may get traded and Felton should play less minutes even send him on the IL if he can't be traded

PG-Prigioni/Brown/Murry

They need to get rid of Felton. That yawning thing is just not acceptable and is a slap in the face of this franchise. But since Frump-a-Dope decided to give him a 3 year contract when no one else was offering him diddly squat just because Felton showed up at his BBQ will make that difficult.

they could start by playing prigioni instead of felton in the last minutes of the game.

that in itself would have already put the knicks firmly in the playoffs.

Prig/Udrih/Murry is a passable PG rotation

still bottom tier, but much better than a rotation where chubz is logging 35 minutes a game and Beno is glued to the bench

I still laugh when people were saying we would be better with Felton....Dolan screwed any chance this team had for a long time.

I am certainly wrong about Felton and Lin. I did want Lin to stay but I thought they were very comparable last year. Which they were.

This season, it's an absolute disaster. Felton is trash.

But him yawning is not a big deal. I see people yawn in the most intense part of the games.

It's not fair to bash someone for yawning.

But I believe for now Felton deserves it. He's been trash.

that yawn could be the single best thing that happened last night.

Dolan is temperamental and takes (mostly bad) decision instinctively. then he usually doubles back on them no matter how obvious it is they are bad ones.

if The Yawn™ ticked him off, as it honestly should, than Fail-A-Ton is as good as gone. and he might even take down Mr. Potato Head with him.

we can only hope.

If the Knicks were 37-12 (instead of 20-32) and they were leading by a wide margin (instead of...well...) and Felton was just a bench player then sure...he can yawn all he wants. But the fat bastard is a big reason why this team is poo, his team is struggling and they are trying to grasp a win against one of the worst teams in the NBA. It's not like he wasn't going back in the game cause he was. And yet apparently he didn't really care what Woodson was saying.

Well not really. It's a talent level. Once you start losing and can't break through, you start giving up.

Felton wants to succeed and do well. He tries hard. At least he used to. Now he realizes he's not a good player anymore.

We ain't winning jack until we get ourselves a Real PG. So sad that a city that prides itself on having great PG's, yet it's home team hasn't had a real PG since Mark Jackson... F'N Sad

don't know if he used to try hard, but he certainly does not seem to be doing it now.
and i doubt he realizes he is as bad as he is. he appears very delusional regarding himself.
