With all the PG's we seem interested in I tend to believe that Calderon is on his way out. Personally, I've always viewed Galloway as a 2-Guard. If we in fact stretch Jose, we can afford Green, Monroe, and a guy like Amir Johnson, who compliments Monroe perfectly and can step in day 1.

Didn't we (at one time) flat out waive this guy? SO THAT WE COULD SIGN Jared Jeffries??? And NO, that wasn't an Isaiah move!!! And now we're recruiting him?

Dantoni didn't like him because he wasn't a sharp shooter

Monroe is only 25..Phil is definitely selling him long term and probably using Pau as a comparison for his effectiveness in triangle and how he'll be in a position to win and set up for a second max deal.

25 years old, smart player, good rebounder..we have started to put players around melo and potentially Montoe to mask their defensive short comings, in grant and Galloway.. honestly do not see Calderon on this team or having a large role this upcoming season.

The organization got so caught up in selling free agents such as LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh on New York being the haven to expand their celebrity and brand, the club forgot about the basics — winning.

I love this...Phil's whole culture game has targeted guys who love ball first and money later, it's only fitting. Plus their agents have probably already estimated endorsement values.

The Knicks have made signing a big man (possibly Detroit’s Greg Monroe) a priority in free agency this summer. However, they will still have an issue to work out in their backcourt — they would like to be rid of Jose Calderon, and will give Langston Galloway, one of the few bright spots on the team last year, a chance to earn more playing time going forward. One potential answer for their guard woes: Rockets free agent Patrick Beverley. A source told Sporting News at the opening of free agency that the Knicks have “major interest” in Beverley, and that the interest is mutual. The Knicks contacted Beverley shortly after free agency began.
