Not referencing anyone here specifically, talking more about what I have experienced in general. With all due respect to the classy Mets fans here, I hope the Yankees wipe the field with the Mets this weekend.

I have not met a Mets fan who does not have expect misery every day of their fan-dom. The fact that Jets&Mets fans exist and have not all killed themselves is a testament to how resilient the human psyche is.

Yankee fans (and by that I mean the Yankee media) are the bad seeds out there because they keep beating the drum that basically "Mets season is cute and all, but Cespedes is gone, 1/2 your pitchers are going to leave soon and Mets will never see a season like this again"

Ryan is a trash, but he's still better than Drew. Dustin Ackley should get the at bats over them when they take the lefty Matz out.

It did! (Actually, I was being serious, but that is the key to the reverse jinx.)

Baseball is funny at times. We have Matz basically struggling for 6 innings but only gave up 1 run, then we have Tanaka looking dominate but due to two mistakes he's losing.

Still plenty of baseball left though.

lmfao.

Well done, HW.

I was being series too. But I expressed my admiration of Tanaka in hopes of a jinx.

Ok. Inning 7. This is where the Mets lose their games.

No. Yankees are lucky to even be playing meaningful games in September.

Honestly, I never thought the Yankees had a shot at the playoffs this year. I thought both ARod and Tex were done, so once again, IMO the Yanks overachieved.
