Horny never implemented a system and if he finally did...

he let Rambis do it and the team doesn't respect him

or

the team's already turned on Horny

If Phil pulled that off, I would put a put a paper bag over my head, paste a picture of Jeannie on it, poke a hole through the mouth, and give Phil the best BJ he's ever had in his entire life.[/quote]

Not sure who to sarcastically thank more for this "thing". James Dolan for hiring Phil Jackson. Phil Jackson for putting this team together. The players for playing like female dogs. Or bNo for being bNo.

I say we riot and burn down the entire thing.

The rest of the team did not fight for rebounds or make an attempt to even lift their arms (yes you lance) for 1 rebound just one. They allowed 30 points per quarter which is not trying on defense. Horrid horrid iof they lose but make an effort it is one thing it is completely different when you do not make an effort

This is the problem, he needs to be held accountable for playing like trash.

Since we didn't hire Thibs, I never expected us to be a defensive powerhouse (the rockets aren't either, fwiw)... thats not what concerns me...

The lack of offensive continuity is glaring issue at this point, I think a lot of it has to do with the triangle. If we had a typical modern style pnr offense we'd better out the gate, like the rockets are, but we're thinking too much out there, and it's affecting us on oth sides of the floor...

I hope we improve on being comfortable with our system, cause we definitely have the talent, already. Rose, Lee, KP and Melo are all elite offensively its just a matter of meshing as a unit.

even if we tank and get the first pick somehow, I'm sure either Phil or the coach will somehow manage to turn the guy into useless scrub.

He had some really good possessions in the 4th quarter playing the 5 though.. that's what you should've focused on.

I noticed that, but he's only gonna be playing the 5 for a few stretches here and there throughout the game...his defense at the 4 where he'll be spending most of his time has just been bad so far

The only two teams still delusional enough to trade for Melo are the Cavs and Clippers. Melo can not guard the 3 at all. He is way too slow-footed to be on the perimeter. Our best short-term option is to move Melo to the 4, KP to 5 and bring Noah off the bench. Then, I think that it would be wise to entertain a Melo for Blake swap ASAP.

This game went exactly like I expected. It just sucks that our season has to end this early. This usually give us false hope until Thanksgiving but this year the season ended in the first week smh.

I knew we would be bad but I didn't think we would be this bad. This is the worst team in the league. Defensively it's just awful. Any team can score 120 on us. Offensively we're just as bad. You can tell the players have no desire to run this dumb triangle. It's obvious Hornecek is just another puppet coach. Phil is still pulling the strings. This offense looks nothing like Hornecek's Suns. They rarely run and it's the same 'ol slow it down, run the dumb predictable triangle. We'd a lot better offensively if we ran any other system. The triangle doesn't work anymore and it's toxic.

RIP 2016-2017 Knicks

I know not everyone here is hockey or Rangers fan. But there are some parallels with Jackson and Sather early Ranger days. It's interesting how these MSG presidents, refuse to do a legit rebuild. Even when they supposedly have 'power'.
