Shut people up how? He joined a team that was already great without him. With this current kyrie no way cavs beat warriors even without kd.
Let's be honest Curry was hurt last year and if Draymond doesn't go Draymond there's a good shot the Warriors win in 5 last year
A 73 win team that could have won in 5 games last year added the 2nd best player in the NBA. That's not good for the league

Not talked about a lot because he's not a star, but the downgrade from Delly to Williams has been big. He gave them so defense in the backcourt. Williams is so bad has he scored yet...

like i said yesterday, lebron started this bull
KD even admitted it
but this dude is still soft as charmin... he wants superteams to become the NORM now
KD even admitted it
Though Durant says he did not consider James' precedent, he readily admits, "He paved the way."
This is the new normal, for better or worse.
but this dude is still soft as charmin... he wants superteams to become the NORM now
"As time goes on, and the changes start to become normal, people will start looking at it as normal," Durant says. "I hope and pray that they make a decision that's best for them, and nobody else."

It’s like when lil bitches make subliminal records, if it ain’t directed directly at me, I don’t respect it

Weak af. Sad thing is teams will have to do drastic things to keep up. so it may be the new norm. Im rooting for teams who are building the right way.

Kyrie had 36, played his ass off in The 3rd that got them the lead, and we still trying to say he's trash because he's going against a **** super team? Didn't he just carry Lebron to a championship last year? Only superstar pg with a ring that doesn't get any respect. It's ridiculous.

Yeah 29 shots 3 assist he's so good. His supporting cast have nothing going but he wants nothing to do wit getting them easy buckets. But but numbers numbers. Melo takes 29 shots we crucify him

I think the league is just fine. Dynasties bring in more fans contrary to some claims here.
Cleveland can't bring the same squad. Shump/JR duo are beyond useless. They don't have picks and those contracts are awful. I don't know where they can go from here.

Dynasties are fine when there's some competition there is none right now. GS is much better then everyone else and there are no moves teams can make to compete.
Why people are mad at Durant is what he did was unprecedented. He went to a team that he lost to in 7 games and not only made the Warriors unbeatable but took away one of the 3 contenders in the NBA and made it from 3 contenders to 1.
The Warriors are gonna coast to a championship the next few years
Lebron went to a championship team back in the day. I honestly don't get these weird made up rules people have in their mind. KD was a free agent and he signed with the team that can both pay him and win a ring while maximizing his talents. I see zero issues here. Also people need to understand that he left a cheap franchise who was not committed to winning. The league is better for KD being in GS. Ratings are up and will be up every year going forward. It is up to the other teams to match GS. Draft better. Find guys like Curry, Klay and Green (none are top 5 picks). Maybe after that, good free agents will come to you.

Whether you agree with what he did or not is irrelevant. There is no argument that he took away any competition left in the league.
And ratings were good because there was amazing anticipation of an epic Warriors Cavs rematch
Now that the Warriors will easily beat the Cavs nobodies gonna be excited about the inevitable Cavs Warriors IV

Re: Around the NBA - Whelp, that just about does it for the 2016-17 NBA season
The Warriors built their team under the same rules as every other team, with no sweetheart trades, drafting well, and good cap management. They actually did it in a very similar manner to the Cavs: using draft picks, signing a big free agent, and filling out the roster with vets.
Cavs drafted Kyrie at #1, Tristan at #4, Wiggins at #1 and Bennett at #1 were traded for Love, Waiters at #4 was traded for JR and Iman, Lebron was the big FA signing, and vets like Jefferson, Deron, Korver, and Frye were added. Warrios drafted Curry at #7, Klay at #11, Draymond at #35, Barnes at #7 (who was not re-signed so they could sign Durant instead), two late 1st rounders were traded in the Iggy deal, KD was their big FA signing, and then vets like Livingston, West, Zaza, and McGee.
The biggest difference is the Warriors drafted better (and had no top-5 picks, while the Cavs had five of them!) and managed their cap differently.
Getting mad at the Warriors is kind of like getting mad at the Spurs for their great scouting, drafting, coaching, savvy trades (Kawhi for George Hill!), and managing their cap well enough to add a guy like Aldridge through free agency. They built their team and built it well.

Lebron is basically the point guard of the team and Kyrie is the scorer of the team. Forget about height and actually watch them play. He took 29 shots and got 36 points and kept them in the game against a much better team. It's no denying how good the dude played.
Just because someone lose a game doesn't make them trash, sometimes they go against better competition. Lebron has a GREAT TEAM. Durant had a GREATER TEAM. Simple as that. Cleveland losing doesn't mean Lebron suck or Kyrie suck or any of that bull. Love would be the second best player on our team, but against Golden State he looks terrible. Why is that? Because GOLDEN STATE IS THE BETTER TEAM. Didn't love put up a 30/30 game or some **** against is a few years back?
Stop the nonsense. Lebron is better than Durant, Durant is just able to coast until the 4th when Lebron is fatigued. Steph is better than Kyrie, but we all seen game 1 of the Finals in 2015 when Kyrie was busting his ass, we seen what happened last year in the finals, and now we see Curry looking like a MVP and getting his respect back from someone that bust his ass.
Lebron is a top 3 player of all time, Kyrie and Love are ending up in the Hall Of Fame regardless of how you feel about them, they're champions with multiple all star appearances. Kyrie would be better than every player on our team prolly praise of Carmelo and same goes for Love. Yet y'all swear our guys are this and that good and we losing because of Carmelo. Some of y'all basketball opinions I can't respect, it's as if y'all don't watch the game. We would be super hyped to have the players Lebron have as a supporting cast. Let's not pretend.

Re: Around the NBA - Whelp, that just about does it for the 2016-17 NBA season
You know what's funny? Carmelo gets bashed for "only scoring" when he still put up 20+ pts 6+ rev 3+ assist.
But then we say Lebron had no help and Love was trash because he shot 1-9, but ignore he had 13 rebounds and 6 steals.
BOTTOMLINE is this. If a team wins a game, we praise those guys for "doing the other stuff". But when a team lose and a guy doesn't score it's "oh he's trash" and we forget about the "other things".
Like I said, winning changes reality. When you win, you did everything right and played the right way. When you lose, it's because you're trash and selfish. The same way this board praised Dirk as a defender, praised Harden as a defender in the regular season, ignore that KG couldn't make it out the first round for like 10 years... Everything changes when you win. It's a good distraction from reality.!

Formula is easy, let them get theirs blank everyone else. W
