I like Huestis from OKC. I think he could be a nice 3D type. He's not getting a lot of play time over there.

we aren't trying to compete next year so what does it matter what are roster compilation look like. He's just salary filler to me. The point is to get Ferguson and a few more assets.

I wouldn't. They need to give up Adams instead of Kanter and add the young SG Ferguson.

we should consider nothing and no salary past 2018 a fantastic haul ...

talking froma Thunder perspective, I think a starting point would be Kanter + 2018 Chicago 2nd. Adding Ferguson doesn't seem like a Presti move since they apparently view him as a guy who needs to develop first, but has high upside (I don't know if that's actually true, but it seems like it). On the other hand, he needs to go all in now and not five years from now, so who cares. Interestingly enough, Ferguson is the only unsigned 1st round pick. Rumur has it Presti is trying to lowball him to take 80 % off the rookie scale; the official version is FIBA clearance.
Abrines is on a very cheap contract and is gonna be good, so I would like to keep him as well, but I reckon Presti would offer him.

I think Grand and DMD would be obvious 'filler choices'. I don't know what Presti is gonna offer additionally. We're pretty capped out on picks and they would be heavily protected if added.

Cheers.

Give us Ferguson and the CHI 2nd and we'll also take on singler.

I think that could be arranged.

Thunder with Melo would be a better team than the Rockets with Melo.

A direct flight from NYC to OKC is about the same as NYC to HOU.

I would have a really hard time wrapping my head around Melo not waiving his NTC for OKC.

If we could somehow grab Steven Adams that would be incredible. I'd throw O'Quinn in there as well for him.

HHAAAAHHHHAAAAA it's unreal what some of you guys still think $29 million a year, 33 year old Melo with one of 3 NTCs is worth in trades. He's negative value.

And throw in the fact that management openly has said they are trying to move him and won't buy him out. Oh yeah and his knees are shot. And he hasn't played a full season in how long?

I honestly think the best scenario might be to just let him play out two years here on the bench collect all that cap space and tank during the process. Win/Win/Tank

maybe even a team like Brooklyn would even take Kanter for a low price...he's young offensive minded seems to fit in that offense and they have cap space.
