Scott Perry wanted Carmelo Anthony, not Jayson Tatum.

He's still on his rookie deal. He'll be offered a max extension and will sign it. Maybe around 2025, you can start thinking about him.

Pssst, most Knicks fans could care less because they aren't irrational RGM Knicks posters, they'll support a winner if Nets make any noise just like some Yanks fans do for Mets or Gmen fans do for Jets and vice versa.
So you're saying most Knick fans are bandwagoners?
yea...that was a dumbass argument.

I'm sure you mean most Knicks fans COULDN'T care less. Saying "could" care less means they haven't reached a limit yet.

What I want to see vs. the Nets next season:

I've never been a band wagoner, Grew up loving the Yankees, Giants, Knicks, Rangers. Now I admit if the Jets/ Mets/ Islanders made it to the finals I'd rep them out of respect. I have no respect for the Nets. My only positive history for the Nets was just for Marbury because that's my boy and even than I didn't cheer for them to win, just for him to be good. I don't care if the Knicks win just one game (take that back I'd definitely care), but I'll be a Knicks fan until I die. Bury me in a Ewing jersey.

All of that is going to happen in the same 170 point game Malik?
I'm going to need lots of popcorn for that one

As one of the old dogs I remember Dr. J as a Net in the ABA before the Sixers. I wanted him to become a Knick so bad.
Anyway, fuq New Jersey!

Oh man I wish, that would have to be a double/triple overtime game where everybody showed up.

Re: Around the Offseason, Take 2
Have a feeling Payton becomes the starting PG.
Bigger PG, just feels like he's the more under control version of what they were looking for in Mudiay - run the offense, take it to the rim, bigger guard - obviously not as big a guy, but like the somewhat refined version of Mudiay.
This isn't a personal knock on DSJr. I'd like to see him succeed and start etc. I think the Knicks view him as a combo scoring PG off the bench.
I guess it matters who the SG is, etc.
Just seems like the Knicks gave Mudiay an awfully long look last season for a reason.

Yeah EG is the best PG this team has had in years BUT i really am high on DSJ. I think he has star all star potential one day. I hope we fix him. Cuz he does have untapped potential imo
EP is really under appreciated because he cant shoot but he does all the right things and I believe he will put us in the best position to win

The shooting is a concern, especially from 3. That's why I'm hedging a little - if the Knicks are committed to starting RJ, but he's not hitting jumpers at a good clip, it might not be the best fit and they go away from it. But I really think Perry will start him. It fits his MO, to play a guard, especially a PG, he brought in, a lot.
As an aside, Randle is going to play C a good bit as well. I've already said it and it's been covered, but I think Fiz really wants him a C in a push the pace offense. Like where nearly all of Mitch's backup C minutes go to Randle.
In fact, I can see Randle getting so many minutes at C, it's going to piss fans off on here a bit. No knock on Mitch, I just think Fiz really wants to put a bunch of guys out there who'll handle the ball on the break and push the pace.
C: Randle
PF: Morris
SF: Knox? RJ?
And a mix of guards. Not starting, but just that the Morris PF and Randle C lineup will be featured a lot.

Right?! We too could have gotten all of our assets pillaged but without Kawhi! Where do I sign up?!
There's an old guy sitting on a lake with his feet up. If he could have resigned Noah along with PG, he would have done it.
