Assuming lamelo, Edwards and wiseman are the top 3 going into the draft I think I rather just have the 3rd pick and take who ever is left. I’d still feel like we came out with the best talent in the draft.

i want lamelo or edwards. if we get 3rd i'll be praying someone takes wiseman 1 or 2. but nobody will.

did you forget something at the end?

you mean.....hi melo

I am a believer in LaMelo. Think it would be foolish to pass on him. He has the best chance to become a superstar and franchise player imo. Even if he doesn't reach that, should still be a really good player. The combination of handle/passing/vision/size is elite. I dont worry about the shot that much. He is not Elfrid Payton/Rondo. He can get his shot off pretty quick off the dribble and has the tools to at least develop a respectable jumper at least. He has a great touch in the lane. Def needs to get stronger and learn to use his size better, but that can come. He has improved a ton and grew a lot the past few years

There are other players that can be good in this draft, but LaMelo just looks like he has the best chance, highest upside to me. Take our shot if we have the opportunity.

your not wrong. It kinda sometimes plays out the way it should and the team kinda just picks the best guy on there board. Sometimes you can overthink a pick if there are 2-3 closely rated.

Lot more pressure in making that decision. In the knicks case where they have been desperate for a PG I think its a bit of an easier choice. Other teams not so much.

I know we're desperate for a PG but how does the 2021 draft look as far as PGs? Better crop? We've already found 2020's ridded with flaws on the Board :D

1:52 mark

What in the actual fuq?

This is nonsense and those chucking floaters are garbage. That jumper is just horrendous.

This is the year for the point guard. That's why Wiseman is not a smart pick unless you go free agency for a point guard.

Next year #1 pg Cade Cunningham is projected to be a franchise point guard, then you have Caleb Love and Daishen Nix sprinkled about.

But it's super LOADED with outstanding 3s,4s and 5s.

other people can emerge from the 2021 class but right now there is Cade Cunningham probably the closest thing to a Ben Simmons/Luka Playmaker...he has elite vision.

Other then that it a little lite right now but that doesn't mean someone might not emerge as well. But seems like a 1 man show at the top right now for a PG in 2021

the jumper isn't good but if it was there would be no question about him being an all-star one day or who would go first. what he can do with the ball at his size is very rare.

i mean we are bored to say the least...what else can we do unless some more coaching news comes out?

Its so difficult to debate the middle of the draft because you dont know what teams are picking in front of you...once the lottery happens the discussions will at least be narrowed down to players in our range.

Lamelos shot selection can be improved anybody’s shot selection can be improved. He most likely will be a streaky volume shooter with an average shooting percentage. I don’t expect him to ever become a curry, Trae young type of shooter on the floor but I think he will still be somebody you have to guard out there.

I’d probably be more alert about his defense than his shooting. Very poor defense stances out there that just look plain bad at times.

But other than that I like the way he maneuvers on the court he doesn’t seem restricted or bothered by the defense. if he’s even Just a decent shooter he can cause havoc in iso and pick and roll which will open up more efficient shots for the rest of the team
