Marcus Morris #5 in net rating in the playoffs. Why is he hardly talked about as a possible free agent?

No to Morris unless they get rid of Randle before. or maybe Clips sign + trade Morris for Randle? where Morris gets the same deal Randle has left? 1+1?

wait that? He scored 19.6 ppg on 14.8 shots for us playing out of position. Less than 15 shots per game and that efficiency doesnt scream chucker to me. If anything this team is looking to build around RJ and putting the ball in his hands. I see RJ becoming a 20ppg scorer regardless next season. Morris would be a nice complimentary player

just because he was efficient doesn't mean he was good for the team

they were 14-29 in the games marcus morris played for the knicks, and its worth noting robinson , frank , rj , randle and even portis were significantly more efficient after the all star break than when morris was a knick

you could see it during the season , morris and randle jockeying for top dog and it ruined any real chance for chemistry to take hold.

I see what your doing but, it's a false narrative. Portis didn't start looking decent till the last 2weeks of the season. Not RIGHT after the trade. Equating the two is ridiculous. And he did not effect RJ's usage level AT ALL. Nor, did he act like top dog.....that was Randle. Dude just acted like a VET, inspired the young guys like frankie and did his job. These BS narrative are just BS of the highest level

To say guys excelled as a result of Morris being traded is just a big ass Lie. Hell, you indicted YOURSELF by saying Randle started playing better as a result. LMFAO @U

where's the false narrative ?

i clearly wrote AFTER the all star break

Morris broke plays on a regular basis to iso

after the all star break they all played much better that not a false narrative its a simple fact
https://www.espn.com/nba/player/splits/_/id/3064514/julius-randle
before the all star break randle
fg%45.5 3 pt%26.4 ft%71.2 rebounds 9.6 pts 19.3

after the all star break
fg%48.8 3pt %39.1 ft%81.7 rebounds 10.1 pts 20.5
and he did it in 2 less minutes a game.

its not debatable, he was better without Morris, as were frank , RJ, Mitch and Portis , hell even elfrid and taj were better , basically everyone who played significant minutes with Morris was better and more efficient after the all star break

men lie , women lie, numbers don't.

If they’re going to play him at the 4, maybe. If not, he’s just in the way for RJ at the 3

He is a ball dominant foward. Horrible for our young core. A steady pg that can get the ball to the roght spots would be better fit.

It seems to me that there was an overall improvment after we changed coaches. It also seems that we'd have been far better off playing Morris instead of Randle at the 4.

The problem is that we signed Randle before we knew Morris would break his contract to sign with us. That meant that Pills were forced to require we using Randle at the 4 and Morris at the 3. That impacted RJ, who would have benefitted from minutes at the 3.

Morris was aggressive but doesn't seem to really have been ball dominant with the Clips, and I believe we'd have done far better with him at the 4, Mitch at the 5, RJ at the 3, and who knows what at 1 and 2.
