Good move but gotta feel bad for ELF. Should be cheap, Kemba was due 72 million over the next 2yrs so he getting his money in the buyout.

Knicks got much better this off-season plus have some young prospects to develop.

as long as it's a one/two year deal, i'm good with it. i'd offer kemba my knees, but my osgood-schlatters still hasn't recovered, even after 22 years

I dont like Kemba as a player but he fits here like a glove and is gonna kill it. We desperately need his offense/playmaking, and he hasnt played with a bonafide unselfish star like Randle in his career yet. Tatum is great but he aint no Randle imo.

Yeah I’m probably with you as I think about it. Recency bias - Jackson had good moments in the playoffs and Walker was injured.

If Walker is healthy, he’s clearly the better player.

Anyone worried that OKC decided not to keep him around and try to rebuild his value or use him to get assets down the road, like they’ve done with a couple other recent bad contract guys? Or are they just doing him a solid?

Have you guys seen Kemba play the last 2 years? Dude's knees are shot, the Knicks picked up a player with worst knees than Rose.

SG: McBride
SF: Grimes
PF: Knox
C: Gibson

Essentially the exact same team as last year besides replacing our starting backcourt of Payton/Bullock with Kemba/Fournier and exchanging our 3rd string backcourt of Harper/Frank/Pinson with Vildoza/McBridge/Grimes. I wish we didn't tie up so much future money in role players but I can get behind these upgrades.

I think as long as Mitch or Noel is back there Thibs will be able to construct an adequate enough defense
