I was so upset with how they played last night its very encouraging to see them bounce back like this. And on a back to back away from home. Proud of the young guns tonight. Great W.
There's something about an underdog that really inspires the unexceptional.

Huge games from Burks, IQ, Sims, Obi, and Grimes. That group defends and gets after it.

Good to see the real RJ Barrett return from whatever dark hole he had disappeared into.

Can't get over the defensive intensity of IQ and Grimes on Young. Totally different experience than last season.

Burks did a phenomenal job against Trae on both ends.

We ran things through our guards and it looked pretty damn good.

IQ looking like a stud. On both ends.

Julius stayed within the flow and stayed mostly locked in on D.

RJ and Evan rounded out strong perimeter play. Fournier with a bunch of momentum saving 3's.

PHENOMENAL DEFENSE

Tom, it may be time to have that talk about about Kemba.

uhm, IQ was 1-7 from 3 - - 4 for 14. Nice defense however.
He played a great game as a floor manager. Shots not going in doesn't change that.

If anything, we learned IQ can hold his own guarding Trae and Lou straight-up. That revelation could come in handy if we meet them again in playoffs or play-in tourney.

First game all year we looked like the tough gritty team from last season. Great job by Quickley, Sims, Grimes and Burks tonight. Kemba would have been a nice guy to root for but he does not fit with how this team should play.

Yep he had another solid game, RJ got doghoused in the 4th for him again. Great signing Leon! I knew Fournier would bust out of that mini slump

Our best game of the season with Kemba being out is no coincidence.

Start IQ and let the kids play.

Might need to put Alec with starting lineup.
It’s clear we need a net positive starter on defense and player can create from himself and others at the point guard position. Yes Alec isn’t a traditional PG but he does everything we need from the position with the starters.

What to do with Kemba is another story . I’m sure he would look great against other teams benches, but would his ego allow for him to take that role with the bench is another story.

I mess with RJ, IQ, Toppin, Grimes & Sims heavy. These kids care & understand the assignments. I know it’ll be a miracle to keep all of them long term but would love to try.

IQ played defense but he was missing wide open shots in last 5 mins but I believe he should start.

Yo unless Mitch really becomes impactful and a beast again, this is our alternative. Good job Perrin and staff!

See, this is what I mean about Burks right

He had those 4 made 3s in a row right, but outside of that, he did not have a good game. He's wildly inconsistent from game to game, quarter to quarter. Which isn't the worst thing to have for a backup, cause you can take them out if they're off, but Thibs treats him like he's prime Manu out there

Other than that, Quick shot surprisingly poorly (4-12 overall and 1-7 from 3) but was excellent as the PnR ball handler, Obi's getting consistent, RJ had a decent game finally, and Sims looked pretty good. Grimes looks like a decent 3-D guy, too, so that's good

Like I said in yesterday's PG thread, I don't think we're doing that bad, all things considered. Just let the team treadmill for a year, then see who's available to trade for in the offseason.
