The smartest thing a Knicks player can do is come in here (via draft only) and then be so bad that you don’t get to play, for 4 years. That way you maintain an air of mystique about you and everybody blames the organization for your developmental failure. It helps if you have a funny nickname or haircut or something unique about your appearance to set you apart. Like this Rokubaitis guy already has the key to the city and he doesn’t even know it yet, as long as he makes sure not to play consistent meaningful minutes stay on the bench outside of garbage time or 15 mins a game off the bench max he will be golden. Once there are expectations you are in deep trouble

Who are you talking about?

Randle? The guy other star players seem to actively avoid and act like he's a nobody to them? That same guy? The one who at the all star game no one passed to? The same Randle who seemingly gets no respect from other teams stars ever, cause that know he was a faux star last year?

Thats the guy who 'knows a lot of people around the league'?

If you read Robi's post, it's like there's never been a great player in NY. All crap. Randle just isn't that good and isn't able to play a role effectively because the holes in his game are fatal and they include being a not selective and average shooter, a stationary guy when the ball is moving away from his vicinity, and lots of mistakes.

Is there any player this board wouldn't turn on in the blink of a second?

This is the reason the Knicks can never have a good team. The fan base isn't willing to be patient (unless its the likes of Frank Ntilikina). How can you ever rebuild with a fan base that turn on any and every player after a poor game? This is becoming disgraceful...

Shut up and higher standards randle always been trash where u been

Yeah, Randle doesn’t have that type of pull around the league. Nobody even switch jerseys with him lol

The argument that we’ll look bad if we deal Randle is complete and utter rubbish. The least convincing argument to grace this board in forever. And to top it off that Julius will make us radioactive by speaking ill of us to others players is just pure comedy.

Unfortunately when it happens I’d never be able to prove to you that was the reason and people can just say nah it’s Dolan or whatever. But the players talk especially other players with both links to him and others in the organization like Booker and Towns who I’d hoped we might have a shot at with Leon at the helm

Also note I said if we dealt him for garbage, if it was part of a deal for a good player I think it would be more understandable

I agree with trading Randle he's not #1 option but folks the knicks are a dumb organization they don't sell high, they don't buy low and they refuse to tank properly. I bet the only reason they tanked for RJ cause they knew he sucked lol.

We got the shiny new toy KP and everybody wanted Melo to never touch the ball again even going so far to boo when they passed him the ball. I don’t feel bad for him but for all we know behind the scenes he advised guys to stay away too with the way he was unceremoniously forced out

I don't know how true this is but if you connect the dots

The team is no longer shooting after games

There is no chemistry

Knicks are actually shooting worse then last year

Thibs didn't feel one bit sorry for benching Kemba... although I can understand Kemba's frustration.

Mitch is all bark no fight anyone can convince this idiot to spread chaos easily.

Obi and RJ shooting slumps well RJ might be back since he got called out but Obi's defense rotation is horrendous and 3s have gotten worse.

The boston spies destroyed the knicks good vibes so easily all they needed was one idiot in locker room they found 3 (Mitch Obi RJ).

You can bet KP Melo and now Kemba are all going to keep preaching stay away from Knicks and knicks deserve it too problem is us fans are paying price for Dolans stupidity for 21 years now.
