He’s a good player. That return says they did him a favor. They could have definitely held out for more or traded him before the draft. The issue is he dropped that tape right before the draft and they didn’t want to draft anyone they didn’t know so they settled for this.

His brother is going to likely get dropped right after.

I think it's two second round picks because Obi has to get paid soon. He's going to be an RFA and it would be tough paying him 11-15 mil per to play 15-18 minutes per game.
I assume someone would offer that to him if he had a solid season for us.

I doubt there was a heavy market for him. Worth the risk from the pacers point of view for sure.

This was always how it was going to play out for Obi on this current roster with this coach.

We shouldn't have drafted him if we weren't committed to moving Randle.

I like him and think he'll blossom in Indy, but it was time for both sides to move on.

Randle blossomed into all NBA, Obi can rebound or defend. Really he just dunks and that’s it.

PJ Williams? Grant Williams? Would be nice to have shone shooting at backup PF.
