This is where my Bojan Bogdanovic for Evan Fournier trade idea would have been helpful. Just unfortunate that he got hurt once the game got out of hand.

I think we can stay near 500 with him out which should be enough to hold the line on the 5 spot. Need Grimes to step up and stay aggressive.

Looks like we’ll be getting Gafford or someone at the deadline or sooner.

Considering OG's +/-, just play him 48min a game and we'll never lose.

No desperation trades.

I was worried he'd torn his pec, I think that's a worse injury

But a lot of my knowledge about shoulder dislocations is in like movies where they just pop it back in and are fine.

This is a study of 50 players suffering shoulder dislocation.

Results: All players (50/50) returned to game play after sustaining a shoulder instability event. In those treated nonoperatively, athletes who sustained shoulder subluxations returned after an average of 3.6 weeks, compared with 7.6 weeks in those who sustained a shoulder dislocation (P = .037). Players who underwent operative management returned after an average of 19 weeks. Athletes treated operatively were found to have a longer time interval between a recurrent instability event (70 weeks vs. 28.5 weeks, P = .001).

8 Weeks for shoulder dislocation unless it requires surgery, 19 weeks.

So I guess surgery knocks him out for the season — that is a bummer

Feels like 19 weeks is long bc the tear heals in about 6 weeks

I think fingers can be popped back into place but not shoulders.
I dunno.

Are you requiring that the player we acquire be under control beyond this season?

I thought that he was very aggressive again in today’s game. He’s been taking it hard to the rim lately. He just needs to hit his damn FREE THROWS!!!

it could just be a depth piece at this point...someone we can use the Obi or RJ TPE to fit in and give us some minutes while Julius recovers.

my shortlist

Brogdon
Hayward
McDermott
Bogdanovic
Lowry

Gafford

also without Randle we need to go with a two PG starting lineup

Brunson / Brogdon
McBride / Donte
Grimes / Hayward (Fournier)
Anunoby / Hart
Hart / Achiuwa

Also I don’t think we should bring in any stop gap PF if he’s just gonna be out through the AS break or a month. maybe just start OG at the 4 and slot Hart in there get Precious or Sims some extra minutes and just deal with it

I'm sorry to you and rob this chit sucks.

We need him to be back before playoffs.

If we get Julius and Mitch back before April we can still terrorize other frontcourts in the postseason.
