Topin's a small forward. If Josh Hart got the separated shoulder, they might have brought in Jake. Taj is closer to Randle in terms of a true PF, physical player, grabs a few boards, etc. Josh will get the lion's share of minutes at PF, so adding a big body made more sense.

Dude they are playing Hart 6'4'' at the 4. Thibs has his pecking order and that's that.

I think I said that and Josh plays bigger than he is.

Who would you play at PF right now if not Hart?

His rotations suck and we are limping into the ASB. I don't think anyone's miserable over it but, people recognize it as a potential problem. Last year it was RJs ankle. This year half the team is hurting

i dont know.. i dont see it that way. but honestly, i have talked about it alot last couple weeks. not only here also in freinds circle etc.

and im getting tired of it because its not something, we all wont get on the same page, theres no right or wrong, no black and white. but im not buying into that narrative anymore.

cant pull starters too early these days, teams can score 20 points in a couple minutes. our top minute getters are not even in the top 10 min/game. around ASB every team battles with banged up players. Randles injury has nothing to do with getting run into the ground, he had an awkward fall. I can write an essay about why that narrative is wrong in my opinion. but i see what you mean aswell. it wouldnt hurt to get certain players a couple more chances or a "longer leash"

but in general our players are not playing any more minutes than other players on other teams.

My main issue is the erratic minutes loads and while I agree that leads can evaporate... He pushes it too far often enough to comment about it.

Overall though, it's been a great season and I just want everyone back healthy.

yea im 100% on board with that. id love for brunson minutes to go down to 31-32 and trusting mcbride a bit more for example.

and definitley pull them when we cruising to victories like we have been. especially in january the minutes didnt need to be high i completely agree with that. but generally this is nothing like chicaco back then.

Who would you play at PF right now if not Hart?

Matchup dependent, but I would certainly be giving Toppin a look there, maybe a burst in the 2nd quarter to see what he can do against grown men. I really want Hart basically being our 2nd string point guard right now so I would probably lean more towards Grimes guarding a bigger guy than Hart.

Yeah, don't know whether to be grateful for Taj staying around or to mourn his fate.
Spoiler:
Worst retirement ever: being tortured to death by Thibs and his henchmen from Villanova.
