I heard somewhere if there's a 3 way tie with Cavs bucks the Cavs get the division while we tie and lose the tie breaker with the bucks and fall to 4.

For the double whammy if the Pacers, Magic and Sixers tie the Sixers fall to 7th unless it's Sixers-Magic two team tie which Sixers win. So if the Knicks escape seeing the Sixers in the first round it's pure luck not anything they did because the seeding is all scrambled from 2-8.

so that leaves us vs CHI (we likely win with CHI with nothing to play for they are locked into 9)

so that leaves the MIL/ORL game. If we win...regardless of that result we probably face philly and not ORL

MIL wins (which means ORL losses) Philly goes to the #6 seed and jumps ORL
ORL wins (which means MIL losses) we go to the #2 seed but Philly stays at #7 because of tiebreakers.

I think we are going to play philly assuming we win vs CHI (assuming Indy wins vs ATL who has nothing to play for)

if we win and MIL losses that means ORL wins also so that would put us at 2 and we play the Philly Miami winner.

if we win and MIL wins that means ORL losses that would mean we would stay at 3 and Philly would jump ORL and be the #6 seed.

Start prepping for Embiid. Thats the likely matchup...unless we throw the game vs CHI.
