The starting five needs to change...

Divo needs to play with Mitch, Achiuwa, Anunoby and Brunson... he shouldnt see any minutes with both Harts

Not many coaches are going to bench their starting 2-guard in the playoffs. Especially someone who has been vocal about Thibs.
Big fan of Divo, but he needs to hit his damn shots. If he can't rise to the occasion, it makes it easier to include him in a trade.

Also makes me realize Thibs will do the exact same thing again against Giannis or Siakam if we advance. His in game adjustments are laugh worthy. Riding one legged Mitch and playing JHart 48 minutes when you got difference makers on the bench is just beyond stupid.

/rant.

Knicks in 6.

Yeah, don't get the Precious avoidance from Thibs. At least Precious wouldn't have crashed into Maxey for a foul on that 3=4 pt play.

Knicks need to jump on them from the start and not take their foot off the gas.

Embiid didn't play like that because he was just having an off night. He's injured and exhausted playing 40+ minutes/night. I think he reinjured the knee in game 3. We won't see MVP Joel for the rest of this series.

i agree but it's not just about him making shots... something is just off with the lineup and we do way better when Deuce is in there. I would even consider giving Divo some of Hart's minutes and give more minutes to Deuce.

He needs to play with Deuce more. When they go small, they've been effective.

Thibs is stubborn with his lineups, but numerous times throughout the series, you see guys like Donte, Hartenstein, Hart, Mitch pick it up after having slow starts. He trusts his guys. And in return, his guys trust him. By the end of the game, Thibs usually has the right lineup out there. If you sucked ass after giving you a chance, he will bench you. He will give you a chance, though. And that''s one of the reasons why they play so hard for him.

Another factor is he uses guys like Donte and Hartenstein to tire out their starters before putting in guys like Deuce and Mitch. Thibs also likes to save his adjustments for later in the game. He doesn't throw everything he has at once. I wish he made some substitutions at the end of the 4th but Mitch hadn't played stupid before that and Deuce was doing his thing. Unless it's Brunson going back into the game, he's not going to change the lineup if it's working and we were up 6 before all that **** happened.

Even MJ, Russell, Wilt and Kobe's Playoff teams lost games here and there. 8-)

let’s look at it in perspective, we have drastically overachieved this year, and we had these dudes beat in 5. With our other all star injured. Even if we lose this series in 7 I like our future more than theirs.

We’re gonna get blown the F out in game 6.

Game 7 will be a nail-biter and we’ll have a 2pt lead with seconds left. Maxey will hit another half court three at the buzzer and point at Brunson with one hand and Thibs with the other and mouth “Y’all my b****”

Life of Knicks fans.

where does it rank compared to the duece/mitch/3 starters lineup and to other starting lineups in the playoffs ?

O. Anunoby - J. Hart - J. Brunson - M. Robinson - M. McBride
4 games
29 mins
106.8 ORTG
114.3 NRTG
-7.5 DRTG

This is the 2nd most used unit

How are we up 3-2

Every game this series -- starting 5 digs us in a double digit deficit. McBride comes in and claws us back. One of the teams does multiple stupid things to lose the game.

So to sum it up - start McBride and don't do stupid things.

What’s your thoughts on the pg title

Sham knows I'm a Mitch supporter. I just called it like I saw it last night in frustration and disbelief. He played drop coverage on Maxey twice when he shouldn't have. You're up 6, you play up on the guy and give up the 2 if you have to..

Yep, and with Bojan out now, McBride doesn't have that other offensive option to hit some big 3s to make the comeback with.. its tough. :noway:
