BTW, OG giving it a go yesterday when he was 60% is huge. He is notoriously conservative with his recovery and doesn't play unless he's 100%. For him to cast all that aside and risk further injury in a contract year to try to help his team in a game 7 shows not only how strong our culture is, but how bought into it he is.

I think we already have a very real relationship with him and that could manifest itself in a number of ways this summer.

Why even make these threads?

He's a CAA client, he switched from LeBron to Leon Rose to get traded to the Knicks. He's getting a max deal, Sam Rose will get a new beach house in Jekyll Island.

Edit: just because it seems like 75% of this board doesn't understand the pyramid scam to steal Dolan's money

Sam Rose/Leon Rose

Yeah I think there was a lot of slander about him not playing unless he’s 150% like he’s a lazy diva who sits out too long or something. Just saw this guy play in a game when apparently he couldn’t even run

I retain OG and not think twice about it. The record with him speaks for itself. The training staff will need to come up with a plan to keep him healthy.

Him playing yesterday was an indication that a verbal understanding is in place, probably since before the trade was made. He has been expecting 40aav.
Expect a deal 150-160$/4

I haven’t watched Toronto much so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Dude is amazing. His three point shooting is on the money. When he drives, he finishes with authority. His help defense is nothing like I have seen from a recent Knick before. He is pretty good at one on one defense as well. My ideal scenario is he gives us Hart special, ie opt in and sign extension with 40 percent raise. I think that would put him around 140 million or so over the next five years including opt in.

Magics, Piston and Sixers have cap space can outright sign him.

25-6 with him in the regular season. 6-2 in the playoffs when he wasn't on one leg.

It's a no brainer even with the injury risk.

There's nobody you can realistically get by letting him walk that will replace that kind of impact.

Worst comes to worst as long as his leg doesn't fall off at some point you can trade him. Teams know his impact when healthy. He'll always have a market because his skillset is so hard to find.

Make it injury incentivized.

I would love that. THAT's the solution.
But his agent will weasel out that.

His agent is the Knicks' president's son.

Wow, how is that even possible, haha.
Dinner at the Rose's must be interesting.

Sign him, of course. But I really hope OG spends the summer training on offense with Brunson. He needs to add some scoring packages. His game needs more wiggle.

Yeah. So far that nepotism didn’t bring any bad contracts. Not yet at least. Instead, we are getting great production for what we have been paying

They don't have a choice after trading our best young assets for him.

When healthy, we’ve seen what he could do, but he’s rarely healthy.
Do the knicks want to take a gamble here?

*edit* poll added

The deal was done before he arrived, nothing surer.

Signing OG to a big money deal scares me.

That said, Philly is waiting to undercut us. They'll offer him his max just to spite us. And it'll work. Gotta keep him and hope he's healthy for a whole playoff run.

A crazy 25-6 or whatever record when he plays? Of course you lock him up.

OG minutes with record below. Included the month of December with Toronto for added context.

December
(w/Toronto)
34.8 min. per game

January (12-2)
35.7 min. per game

February (4-8)
OG didn't play

March (3-0)
32.5 min. per game

April (5-1)
34 min. per game

OKC & PHI? I have them as ppl that could go after OG & Hartenstein. They could use both

PHI going to play him at the 4? doubt ihart leaves to be a backup.

OKC could make sense but again chet is their starting 5.unless they're considering moving him to the 4 i don't see why ihart leaves to be a backup.

pistons - don't see him leaving to play for a loser franchise. magic could be interesting but i think they need shooting more than anything.
