1. Cross generational GOAT conversations
2. 2024 NBA finals scheduling
3. Why have 3 refs when it should be 4. Especially 2 on the baseline
4. National media and the constant talk about the Lakers, GSW
5. Need to better promote the younger stars
6. AAU doing a huge disservice to our kids
7. Stopping play for every deadball. Should be a little bit like soccer so players can take it out quickly. It will stop players complaining and old arse refs staying in the game.
8. Players' podcast. I love this but don't tell me media always asking dumb questions when these players spilling the tea.
9. For Knicks fans... the 90s Knicks had a great run but please don't tell me it was good basketball.
10. Gambling ads... this will be a major downfall. Someone is bound to get hurt by this.

1. That now every second player wears a T-shirt under their jersey.
2. That Nike still hasn't managed to rework the ugly overlapping of the shoulder section. Hard to bear, especially with jerseys with pinstripes. 3. Jersey advertising or advertising for betting providers
4. Offensive 3 seconds, no longer relevant today 5. Back to back games against the same team
6. Doris Burke or Draymond Green
7. Double stepback or generally the very special interpretation, which is a step error
8. TV timeouts
9. That defense is hardly possible anymore because every slightest touch is considered a foul
10. Giannis at the free throw line

I think I could think of a few more things, but what are your things?

1. Draymond Green
Was cute as a side piece on the Warriors, but once he thought he was a superstar, he has been unbearable. Only person with worse takes is Gilbert Arenas

2. (Not very important, but still) Shannon Sharpe
Being loud and demonstrative with your superlatives does not make you good. Rarely makes points. Also, I dislike Skip, but how he left talking poorly of his former partner/co-host shows how small he is.

3. Luka-love
He is really a good player, but he has a lot of James Harden in him. Whines, looks for ref bail outs, and doesn't take personal fitness and defense seriously. If you make me take some truth serum, I don't know if I would put him top 10.

4. contracts/cap gymnastics
We all know the cap is going up, but also that crossing the 2nd apron is basically highly dangerous. Teams are paying role players such high proportions of their cap. Nic Claxton is SERVICEABLE. Might be not be top 30 at C. He is getting like 25 mils. Also, we are over here sweating over a hard cap 2nd apron when teams with higher payrolls and non-team-friendly contracts are out here adding pieces from air. GS is getting Heild, Melton, and might trade for Lauri.

5.
State and local income tax.
Not at all fair how Miami and other teams have a tax work around. Just like the proposed cap smoothing, all salaries should be "after tax" numbers and the teams can adjust the cap accordingly.

6.
Hate how guys get black listed.
Dwight Howard, Cousins, and more locally Lin were all basically bumped from the NBA before their time. Right now, WE could use possibly all three. Howard was a key contributor on a title team not too long ago and is clearly keeping in shape. Cousins played well last we saw him in a small dose.

7.
JJ Redick

8.
Players complaining about playing. You get paid a ton of money, your game is a production. Yes, if you want ALL of your money, you have to play. I get it that Hali had a legit injury, but others ruined the integrity so now he has to suffer because Kyrie likes to sit out games because it's Tuesday.

9.
Star treatment.
Still heated that Embiid committed a flagrant foul, should have been suspended for multiple games, and got the lightest slap on the wrist. Green, who I dislike more, did far less and got suspended in a deciding finals game.

10.
Bronny
Cute story, glad Lakers got him, he got paid, hate all the punditry. There are two acceptable stories 1) it's nice he gets to play with dad, 2) did other teams not take him due to threats. If the latter is true, we as fans, should demand penalties for the Lakers. This is akin to insider trading and should be considered a felony. Particularly if a team genuinely wanted Bronny with like the 20somthing pick, but Lakers got a first round pick for almost the last pick in the draft.

You may be completley right about #10, or it may be that the story was put out there after nobody was interested in Bronny, to make it he was more wanted.

Either way, it's really a very bad thing for the integrity of the league, but I doubt they would do anyting to sully the name of their #1 lifetime active player -- because that would hurt league revenues.

10. cross generation player comps - it's like comparing a horse to a tesla - they ain't the same

9. woj/shams spoiling picks on draft night before they're selected

8. people getting baited by stephen a smith - dude is an actor who panders to the simple minded for easy engagement

7. the 2-minute report - what is the point of this aside from deepening fan rage/resentment?

6. doris turning everything star players do into a tearful haiku

5. back 2 backs/3 games in 4 nights

4. injuries

3. raptors fans

2. officiating

1. miles bridges

Eve, as usual, I agree with most of what you say. But #10 - horse and Tesla, they have a lot more in common than you'd think. Because Tesla's owner is full of what comes out of the "exhaust" of a horse.

Really half the things in this thread are business decisions, compromising morals for monies.
