lol. I had the same thought - where I found hope at is that we play at such a slow pace that it's unlikely he'll have that opportunity

You guys are thinking I meant Cam when I actually meant Cam.

Exactly. People are losing their **** after only 11 games.

Not me. I maintain my level headed optimism at all times.

The Knicks are basically like the Pacers now. Once Thibs realizes this, and plays at a faster pace, things will fall into place.

Is there any way someone can find the pace and efficiency stats for the 2nd half of the Bulls game? Need to see if I can run this bit or if I'm wrong.

We're 6th in net rating over our last 10 games somehow, with our defense being 13th. We need Mikal to find his shot soon, Brunson to get back to Jan-May form and to decide who to move between Mitch and Precious for some more depth.

This is a championship level team, if not this year then next year we should be considered a favorite after we fortify the bench.

The defense actually played better in the 4th, but I think the offense is held back a little by its pace.

You can check pace on NBA.com in the boxscore, like 2 hours after the game they update and there's a drop down menu you can switch from traditional to advanced.

The first half was played at our pace, the second half the Bulls controlled the pacer which is why the score ballooned. I don't know if we can play a fast paced game, mainly because our players gas out even when we're playing slow.

He's currently averaging 24ppg, 6.5apg, 2.9rpg on 46% and 38% from three, imagine how good you have to be for that to be considered a rough start. The fact you're going to try and hop on the Brunson train when it takes off again is disgusting, you're no Oliver Queen, you're the Dark Archer.

Agreed, and if you throw out that Boston game we'd probably rank 1-3 .

If there is any game for Bridges to find himself it's this one against his ex-team. But for some reason I don't get the feeling Mikal has that dog mentality in him. I hope he proves me wrong.

We have some issues but I'm still optimistic we're better than our record shows, similar to Dallas.

I think Brunson-KAT could be the foundation of a historically great offense, not just a top 5 offense in this year's NBA. But we need to take more 3s, and Mikal does need to fix his 3-point shot. If not, I think that Deuce should start over either Hart or Mikal to inject more 3-point shooting into the starting lineup.

On defense, we rely on Thibs and on our wings to mask Brunson and KAT's weaknesses, which aren't gonna go away. We need to see more adaptability from Thibs with more switching and more contests on 3-point shooters, and also ideally an increase in defensive intensity from both Hart and Mikal.

I think we top out as an average to slightly above-average defense with some improvements in those areas. But I believe we're not close to our offensive ceiling, and our offense could be overpowering to the point where defensive mediocrity isn't particularly relevant. But we're not there yet.

We need Precious back and possibly a move on the fringes for a guy who can be trusted for 10-15 minutes per game (what Shamet was expected to be I suppose).

Brunson is shooting 46/38/82 (FG%/3PT%/FT%)

Doncic is shooting 43/32/81
SGA is shooting 50/31/89
Haliburton is shooting 39/27/78
Trae Young is shooting 39/33/89
Morant is shooting 45/26/83
Maxey is shooting 41/29/82
Fox is shooting 48/29/86
Jamal Murray is shooting 40/33/82

Now go eat guano's dick you troll.

It could be even higher. His shot selection hasn't really been too bad this year outside a game or 2. He had plenty of misses that were good shots. Our offense looks great. Even with Mikal shooting so poorly and getting no plays so it could get even better.

My main gripe with JB is his passing. Its just not that crisp off the PnR. They are forcing him right and his passing going right is rough. Thibs needs to figure out what to do besides a really basic pick and pop cause its being scouted (Chicago was diving into those passing lanes the first quarter) and JB's passing isn't clean enough to deal with that type of pressure. I saw one adjustment where they put Josh at the wing and JB had an easy pass going right to Josh and Josh threw a clean bounce pass to a cutting KAT.

JB's passing when he drives has been pretty nice though; catching Mikal and Josh cutting all the time.

It's hard to say that games #12 and 13 are must wins, but these games feel pretty close to must wins after the start NY has had, the price of the Bridges trade, and playing against the Nets. If the Knicks somehow dropped both these games and were 5-8 after losing back to back to the Nets there could be some problems.

These should be two easy wins, get to 7-6, start to right the ship.

It's really early and the good teams will round into form while the bad clubs fall to earth. My only concerns is getting everyone to April intact and Thibs is scaring the piss out of me right now.

Yeah man, I've not been the least bout worried about this roster or any of the trades made - it's elite and they will work out. This team is a contender. My worry is only injury and that Thibs' coaching style is a governor on this Knicks engine.

Should be an easy W but lack of bench production could make this harder than it should be
DENVER NUGGETS
Jamal Murray/Ty Jerome/Dante Exum
Zach Lavine/Ochai Agbaji/Corey Kispert
Aaron Gordon/Josh Okogie/Javonte Green
Jakob Poeltl/Moussa Diabate/Karlo Matkovic
Ivica Zubac/Nick Richards/Oscar Tshiebwe

Return to New York Knicks
