Don't need to imagine it, when I have an expert to show me. Proceed.

Must suck not knowing ball. Can't relate. But go back to spam hating thibs for everything because the game is too complex for you to think anything beyond that.

They also had 133 last season when we had Mitch.

Yeah, but when we get Mitch back, he'll be able to camp in the paint to stop all those 3s

And then a frontcourt of Hart/KAT/Mitch is literally perfect spacing, I can't see any potential issues there

You also just know we're gonna see Hart/Precious/Mitch minutes at some point.

I watch this Thibs led team all these years and have convinced myself this is what a bench is supposed to look like. Play good enough to give your starters a breather and keep the game within reach so your starters come back in and finish the job. Then I sit here and watch bench players like Kornet, Queta from tonight, Shead from the Raptors, Whitmore from the Rockets, Finney-Smith from the Lakers. I mean I could keep going. But I see these bench players come in and try to make a difference, try to go out there and build the lead up, play their game with confidence to say I'm gonna make a difference. Then there's Thibs led bench which is completely restricted from what they can do. They make one mistake and they are yanked immediately for a starter. They are forced to just play defense, rebound and hustle. It doesn't matter if you can shoot or have a post game, we don't need that. Just keep the game close for the starters. Well unfortunately when the starters don't have it going either, we are completely dead in the water.

Need a fresh approach next year. Roster is locked so it has to be the coach.

And that's it. Right up against the 2nd apron for this fake hustle of a team. Watching KAT flatfooted all night, Bridges on skates AND shooting 5-15, highest paid Knick hurt again and Mitch being stung along the entire season only to magically get set after the trade deadline is diabolical. Thibs is hustling us.

If Celtics just played their bench this game would be close. The Celtics have an incredible system.

The issue is that the two guys we gave up all of our assets into have been a complete no show against boston, not only once but twice. I'm not gonna go in on guys like hart, precious, mcbride because our expectations for them are low. Those guys aren't the difference makers against beating a team like Boston.

If our main core guys can't show up against the best team in the league then we're screwed. That's how I look at it.

Kat gets a slight pass for me in this game. He was a game time decision, and his knee was obviously bothering him. Thibs played him too much tonight in a blowout and now he'll take longer to heal up.

What matters most is the playoffs!

I don’t see us dropping from 3rd place in the EC.

Mitch and KAT haven’t played together yet so I can see Mitch helping on the perimeter and KAT rebounding with Hart helping too. I think Hart will go to the bench as the 6th man once Mitch is back.

Mitch
KAT
OG
MB
JB

Hart, McBride, and Precious off the bench.

I mean I can really post 100 more tweets of KAT and Mikal getting ripped for their defense. And mad fan bases are going in on KAT and Mikal's defense right now too. not just knicks fans. We're a complete joke to everyone around the league. We went all in on mid.

I typically agree...but its seems to be a trend vs high pace/high volume 3 pt shooting teams.

Our 3pt defense has been terrible this season, absolutely is concerning no matter who we played.

Will say though that their 3pt defense has been better the last couple weeks when we don’t overplay the 2 big lineups and switch more, but having OG out tonight kinda put us back into that drop coverage defense because we tried to match their size instead of starting small.

Still not sure why Thibs didn’t call a timeout during that run in the 3rd, he’s usually quick with the timeouts to try to break momentum.

This loss hurts more than most not because we got blown out. But because it’s painfully obvious that we’re not the team that we’re striving to be. The reality that we’re a long ways to go before we can even be considered in the same tier as Boston is sobering.

It’s taking any enjoyment that I am having about this season because in the past were a feel good overachieving team. So when we came up short, we at least had something to look forward too.

This is the core that we’re going to have for the foreseeable future, and it’s still not good enough. The coaching isn’t good enough.

Just a bunch of humble pie being served tonight.
