Never been a fan of heliocentric offenses. Not saying they dont have any uses at all, but you can all see how different it is with one guy dominating the ball compared to sharing the rock
we all love our captain, but he needs to share the rock to get the guys in rhythm

So long as the Knicks win the games they're suppose to, they shouldn't have any issues holding onto the 3rd Seed.

i've felt this way since the donte incident in preseason. it's fine to cater to your star player by bringing his friends in, but it's really bad vibes to have that player's dad promoted to "associate head coach"

Re: PG: KNICKS 'Son' The Sacramento Kings!!!
If only we had a sophisticated offense like the Lakers have under JJ Reddick we could be struggling to break 100 points against the Nets in a loss. If we had Spo we could see another 4th quarter collapse to a team like the Hornets. But no we have to suffer through Thibs and drop 133 points without our starting PG in a blowout win on the road. It really sucks

Just want to ask, is it Thibs that got the ball moving last night with no Brunson on the floor or was it the players making an effort to make the extra pass and move without the ball? (Rhetorical question)

Over reliance on him/lack of balanced offensive scheme has been the problem.

Yeah, he's averaging what, 7 assists per game? But could probably average 9 if he focused more on that.

Watson absolutely, positively sucks. Keels level.
LOL. At least he can be cut from a 2-way. They can add different players. I had high hopes for Watson. Oh well.

Much needed win. The ball movement was spot on. 34 assists on 45 FGs. Threes were flying and made 22 of em at 55%... mind blowing.
Sabonis is the heart of the Kings so I'll take it for what it's worth but regardless much needed win.

Ita not about the assists, but just letting others make plays and have early touches with the ball. Because if it was with him, he would just eat up the clock doing all his moves. Not surprising that others would be disinterested with the offense, which can also translate to nonchalance in defense

So, either Brunson is a selfish d*uche, or Thibs kind of sucks because he can't control his top player and engine of his offense, not teaching him or benching him into more effective play.
Either way, it's a sad state of affairs. Perhaps a new coach can chastise the petulant Brunson, otherwise Knicks are going to need to find a new PG

Yep he never holds Brunson accountable. Because his dad won’t let him. Leon issue. Need to fire Rick so Brunson can be coached
To be fair Thibs did the same with Randle. He tends to let his star players do whatever they want. Thibs is a big tough guy with everyone else though.

there should be an up and coming offensive schemer in the associate head coach role and instead it is our star player's dad

If PJ Tucker is giving Josh confidence to shoot the ball, that signing is already paying off.
