Beauchamp : You want me to be reserved ?!
Thibs: You remind me of Obi Toppin.
Beauchamp: I’ll try to do it between the legs next time.
Thibs: Enjoy your DNP-CDs
I will only cherish the wins and ignore everything else, because that's the only way to survive as a Knicks fan.

Needed a win and the Wizards are awful, thanks
The pg situation reminds me of the pre-Brunson days arguing over DSJ or Frank or Elfrid and it sucks lol

I was joking around. I think he can be a nice rotation piece but the price comps are a lot to put on the kid. Price was a sniper from deep and made multiple all-star teams. Outside of both being white and having exceptional hair I don't see the similarities. That said I do think he should be getting more burn. He is a pure pg who has great vision and passing ability. Nice handles that he keeps alive too.

But his defense is suss and thibs has a short leach for rooks who struggle on defense. It's a bad a pairing.

Kolek needs to consistently get 5-10 minutes per game, even if he struggles. Neither Payne or Shams are rotation players for the future. This kid can be. There is literally 0 downside to paying him. Not when Sham Payne has literally had games where they’ve provided absolutely nothing.

This dude is tough, he will hold his own defensively, I want him to be a Knick for the next 10 years !!

I think he has the potential to be an All Star

8 assists in 18 minutes. If Kolek gets minutes he he could be top 10 in assists.
Starters minutes and he leads the league. Best distributor on team.
And wait till his shot falls!

Thibs Kryptonite moment.
You know that hurt.

Plays Kolek, he excels AND clears bench in the same game.

I don't know guys . This kid could be special. He has all the tools to be an elite NBA point guard. At minimum second string back up.

I really don't believe he has the athletic ability to do so. If he can be a an impactful backup like TJ McConnell that would be great. I actually think he'll be a very very good shooter---his form is flawless and smooth. Hopefully he can stabilize his defense enough. But athletically he is really nowhere near NBA PG athleticism.

TJ McConnell is a damn good comparison for where he is right now. And I think his court vision is even better than TJ's with a higher upside to his offensive game as well.

Kolek is a better shooter for sure---at least from 3. I think Kolek's opportunities and how much he'll play will be decided entirely on the defensive end (at least as long as Thibs is here). Let's just hope he gets some more opportunities in the remaining games.

TJ is stronger and more athletic. Kolek seems to be more in the Calderon vein if we must compare him exclusively to White players.
