Kat was 30/12 on 50/40/90 during the season vs IND

Yesterday he was 35 / 12 on 65/50/82.

And I don't think we came even close squeezing every drop of juice of out of him on offense.

IND has no answer for him.

Yes yes and yes....

Playing 7 guys if we aren't able to slow down the pace is asinine.

No, before anyone says "oh so Precious is the answer now? lol" , that's not what I'm saying. We are up against a team that plays at a break neck pace and has 11 bodies rotating in and out. Trying to run 7 men against that isn't sustainable. Tom needs to lean into Shamet, Precious, and I'll say even Wright to help out instead of running OG and Mikal to death and then calling them scrubs when they make mistakes or lose situational awareness when they're running on fumes.

You think Indiana plays 11 starter caliber players? They don't.

their rotation and minutes didn't beat us. come on, mdb.

knicks let go of the rope. did every bad thing you could imagine. missed 10 FTs before missing clinchers.

same knicks group has gotten the gulliest Ws out of the mud this playoffs. nah. not buying 1. that they were too tired or 2. that more achiuwa and shamet minutes were the difference. strategically i would have stuck with the defense-forward lineup to close. brunson and KAT didn't need to close the game. wright maybe could have been situational there, as he was to close the 1st half.

indiana does what works for them. they don't have a lot of high-end talent, so they do more with those numbers so they can play their game. it would be malpractice for the knicks to have less minutes from effective players just to win some kind of analytics battle. didn't work for cleveland. cleveland is at home watching, yet again, because they are buns. and we played the last 3 minutes of regulation the same way. shameful ****. looking for a response to that part.

we have to be better than the most pitiful close to a game of all time. and that's taking nothing away from the pacers who had to step up and take what we allowed.
RIP magnumt

thanks for everything, thibs.

This, they didn’t win because we were tired. They won because we subbed in a player with 5 fouls in Brunson and another in Mikal who got blown by. We took off our two best defenders in Mitch and Deuce and there was the game. Period.

We gave them the game. We weren’t tired.

I agree I don't think minutes played any part in our collapse...I have a legit issue with us going from a 14 pt lead to a 5 pt lead from 3:30 minutes to 34 seconds with Thibs not calling one single timeout to calm the team down and go over defensive strategy on how to navigate the quick in the shot clock 3's the Pacers were just hunting. That is poor coaching....the minutes were reasonable and only Mikal really didn't sit.

My issue would be the timeout usage...and then down 1 that play where brunson is just running the baseline and drawing up a play to have OG (who was a disaster yesterday) make a high risk pass that was deflected by Nembhard just made no sense. Just get the ball to Brunson out of the timeout and let him go to work...Pacers weren't able to keep him in front. Just seemed like completely unnecessarily high risk action when Brunson was scoring at will in the OT. I think he was coming off 2 drawn fuols and a floater.

The mental lapses on defense are on the players...you can't be dropping or allowing clean looks that late when you know the team is hunting quick 3's in the shot clock...but it is on the coach to see the confusion and stop the momentum and run. We had 2 timeouts and went 3 minutes of disaster time without a stoppage. It kinda of was like blink and the lead was down to 5...that can't happen as a coach.
