I was watching Rob Perez postgame yesterday

The key to slowing down the Pacers is to use minutes smartly to maximize fresh legs, draw fouls and use fouls instead of giving up easy layups, as per Amare Stoudemire, and always have 5 man back on defense (stop arguing calls and falling down on offense)

the guard brunson was a two-way player last night. he did his part with the defensive intensity. that needs to continue.

toughness and togetherness.

He tweaked it in the Celtics series (same leg as last year) and it's been wrapped since so I think he's definitely not going 100%.

These guys haven't lost a back-to-back game since March. Might as well break all the records while we're doing this.

Hopefully by watching OKC & Indy this year Thibs has learned if you don't have fresh legs, if you have lapses in energy & effort, they're going to break you. You can't replicate their pace because they are better at it, you have to constantly resist their pushes. So a deep rotation is a must regardless of foul trouble. I think this has been his recent thinking but he has to stick to it.

Gotta slow them down

yeah...I find it interesting that our guys have been playing basketball all their lives- Yet, Indy can get them to speed up...Yesterday in the 4th quarter-
toward the end- I noticed that they finally realized they needed to slow the game down at that moment -thibs called a time out and then the Knicks were deliberately runnning the clock down; this was when the starters were still in KG...Iguess they're still human...

If Tony Bradley is out for Game 6 it's back to Thomas Bryant who averages less than 2 rebounds a game in the postseason.

He was locked in last night. All I asked for was him to pay attention to detail defensively and he did just that.

The confidence that he has to wear that outfit is impressive.

He gets nervous if the game is close or if we're down and he almost always defaults to more starter minutes and, especially, more Hart minutes. It usually backfires.

We have seen this squad often forget what gets them wins. Complete Jekyll and Hyde all season. What we saw yesterday wasn't something new. We saw it in game 6 of Boston also. Super aggressive defense on the oppositions primary ball handler and super aggressive KAT on the offense. It's the recipe playbook they should be following every game.

We just don't know which version of this team will show up for game 6.

Indy is the favorite to win game 6...thats when this team's best shows up. They do not want to go home. They also handled business at the garden where they couldnt win 1 game against this team. They will be playing their best with NO PRESSURE.

I would agree with that. Im not expecting a blowout win by either teams, it will go down the wire and the refs will a big part of the game. We have the best closer but they also have some clutch players. Im not putting my hopes up, just want a good competitive game.

This is game 6. All the adjustments and counters have already been seen IMO already. Rick is just gonna set more screens for Hali to get him free to setup the offense. The screens will come from either KAT or Brunsons man. You may even see some double screens. The screens might even be earlier like at half court. We all know they're primary objective is to get Hali going. They have some absurd stat where they haven't won a single game when Hali scores less than 12 or something.

So the question now is will Thibs be ready for potential counters for what's about to take place or is he just gonna sit back and let the game tell him what to do. If it's the latter then we are doomed because he's the worst in game situational coach I have ever witnessed.
