These guys are millionaires.. imagine college ballplayers that doesn't have an NIL deal?

They just approved NCAA players to gamble.

I'm sure the gambling lobbyist is loving this.

Government should treat gambling like cigarette companies. No more advertisement, lots of warning, no ATMs or banks near casino etc.

You think the charges are suspect?

I will be honest, I don't trust the FBI under Kash Patel for a number of reasons that i will not discuss here, but unless I'm wrong these investigations were underway well before he took charge.

I think it's telling that out of 30 people, the most noteworthy names are 2 black sports players.

The FBI's rep has taken so many shots that I can't really view them as trustworthy. Patel just adds and magnifies the problem. And yes, these investigations were underway for awhile. Doesn't tell us when, though. Prior FBI director was Wray, who was a Trump appointee. I would not be floored if the story ends up being something like this:

Trump pushed this agenda (there has always been ties there, maybe he owes money like he owes me [true story], Wray found nothing of substance, it dropped, then here comes dewyeyed Patel -- who is absolutely a Trumptard -- decided to pick up the case and play connect the dot.

I'd be interested to see who the "victim(s)" were. Specifically in the case of Billups. One report said Billups used rigging devices (X-ray tables, card reading treys, or something). What, was he wearing X-Ray glasses or some ****?

If these charges are bogus, and frankly I don't think what you're saying is far fetched based on how much garbage we've seen over the last 9 months, the case will quickly collapse in court and be thrown out, like the other bogus charges the administration has tried to bring against people.

I'll wait and see though because this seems eerily similar to the Gilbert Arenas charges.

You guys just can't control yourselves. You've figured it out...Trump has it out for Chauncey Billups and black athletes. Now he's using his power and influence to have Kash Patel and the FBI go after these guys. Even though this investigation has been going on for years, you still figure out a way to incorporate Trump into the conversation. It's like that game "Six degrees of Kevin Bacon"

Dude what part of me saying "I'll wait and see what happens" is hard for you to comprehend? What is wrong with you? This is twice now you've been acting weird and its annoying.

As I said earlier, im like 99% sure that this investigation was underway for years. All I said was that Wildcat may have a point because of the bogus prosecutions we've been seeing from the DoJ over the last several months has led to skepticism of the current FBI under Kash Patel.

kind of sounds like the feds just going after the mob and guys like billups and rozier just got caught up in the crossfire getting charges put on them to entice them into swinging a deal to get them to talk.

My gut instinct says yes. Same kind of circumstances, illegally run poker games and mob involvement

Yeah. If he was just scamming geeks okay, but you never know what someone is capable of and this kinda behavior drives people to doing the unspeakable.

Chauncey might wanna watch his back if he gets out on bail

where could he do a stretch? where could he go into witness protection?

c. billups and the family. no way out.

Per ESPN one of the "fish" or marks got taken for over $7m, including 1.2m in one session

I don't know who these people are, but I would be wary of scamming someone with that kinda money. You just don't know who knows who and what someone is willing to do.

If I'm Billups I'm getting my family out of the country. I'm actually ashamed of Chauncey here, I thought he had high character.
