Reese has proven himself so far. Getting rid of big name players and finding cheap players through the draft and to a lesser extent FA who do a better job.

Reese's philosophy is conservative in the free agent market yet aggressive while taking calculated risks in the draft. He is of a scouting background so that shouldn't come as a surprise.
In fact, I prefer that plan as it keeps you in a flexible position cap-wise since draft talent is always more hungry and comes cheaper than veteran free agent talent who have a tendency to "get fat" mentally with a feeling of entitlement after securing a deal.
Just look at the risk he took on drafting a small-school talent with character concerns like Ahmad Bradshaw and how that ultimately paid off. Now who do you feel more comfortable with in the backfield...Bradshaw or Droughns?

briggs is not that great anymore
u shoudnt overpay for free agents just for the sake of signing someobdy..
im a jet fan but it semes to me jerry reese knows what hes doing..

Ditto, in Reese we trust, isn't it nice to be able to paly young guys and rebuild with them? wish the Knicks were smart liek the Giants -_-

Giants lucked out today, apparently the Eagles offerred more money per year, and more guaranteed money than the Patriots, and basically had him until he decided to go back to the Patriots at the last minute. It looks like Phili is going to restart their efforts to get Fitz.

They would keep Gibril Wilson before they kept Mitchell. Both are looking for big bucks and both are not worth the big bucks. They're stocks are high right now because they just won the superbowl. Kawika Mitchell is also going to be 29 looking for a long term deal.
