Mock drafts usually aren't that good. They are based upon outsides of the process reading tea leaves and trying to sort the BS from the truth. Teams don't want to let out who they are after, so that they don't end having someone taking who they want and get cute. They will also try to spin to get feelers out with the fans to.

In the case of the Knicks, since the Balkman drafting, they have leaked who they are leaning towards, as the draft approached, to avoid a backlash.

Perhaps the only thing less worthwhile than mock drafts is analysis and criticism OF mock drafts.

Regard them for what they are... an innocuous way to pass the time. Putting any more or less value to them is pointless.
