We could give up some picks caught by Cromartie. Goddamn.

1st that trade is pathetic and so is denver, they wanted the whole kitchen from the nets
Let me get out of here and go back to the nets site and read all these pathetic netsfans saying favors is showing that he can become great

KnicksGod wrote:This is not a Gallo thread but one other practical point on this: I'd much rather Gallo be showing a really superior 3-ball % like 42% or something, than that he's drawing fouls at a high rate so far. Drawing fouls is great and of course, you rather get your points on drives than chucking 3's (see 7SOL).
But, as far as a raw skill set to build on, I think that if Gallo was a really superior 3 point shooter, the rest of his game would fall in place. So far he's shown he's got a nice stroke, hits a decent percentage and can make big ones, but misses a lot of open shots and his % is quite far from great. It's just .368 which is nothing special to be blunt.
It's not HOW he plays but as an indication of his future prospects, a % over 40 would make me think that Gallo could blow up. Gallo will not be a great player unless he becomes an elite shooter because that would force defenders to overplay him.
His drives for fouls are great but I think you'll see that he can't make a living on that. You'll see defenses adjust. He is going to have to learn to make and finish those drives. You can't just keep drawing fouls. You have to be able to finish and keep defenses honest. Gallo can dunk a few early but I don't see him converting many of his drives. It's rare, though getting a little more common lately.
MD is a fool for wanting to base his whole offense on 3's, but I think 3-pt % will more or less give you a good idea of how high Gallo will rise.

KnicksGod wrote:Realistically, Denver is getting rid of an All-Star who doesn't want to play there. Chandler has already come out and said he doesn't want to play in Denver ... Nuggets are going to take a lesser guy who has already said he doesn't want to be in Denver?
Maybe they spoke to Chandler already.

"The Denver Nuggets and the New York Knicks are discussing a three-team trade that would make forward Carmelo Anthony a Knick before the Feb. 24 trade deadline, according to league sources.
In the proposed trade, New York would send Anthony Randolph and Eddy Curry to Minnesota and the Timberwolves would send Corey Brewer and a first-round pick to Denver. Denver would also receive Wilson Chandler from New York."
