For ONCE can we STOP living up to the stereotype of Knick fans??? We all liked what we saw from this kid, but do we have to do this to everyone who has ONE good game? Have one good game in NY and all of a sudden knick fans make it sound like you're gonna be a future hall of famer while we still have a losing record. I've heard names such as Kevin Johnson, Jason Kidd etc. Come on guys are you serious? That's why other fans laugh at you guys because you're delusional. DELUSIONAL! I'd be extremely happy if Lin averages 15 and 10 much less 12 and 8. In one night Jeremy Lin has not only overtaken the sig world, but every thread since then has been about him...just titled differently. I'm pulling for him, but Seriously? Stop! Doesn't look good at all.

Nothing annoys me more than posters who care what other posters think, because at the root of everyone saying to chill is a fear of what the GB thinks.

People should be patient, but some are just having a little fun in an otherwise un-fun season so far. I say let everyone go nuts as long as they dont crucify him if he f*cks up.

So yea I have no problem with the comparisons. Most of you guys freak out if somebody even mentions guys like Kidd and Nash, when people are only using their styles of play as comparison. Nobody is saying Lin is the next Kidd or Nash, just like nobody said Shump would be the next Wade (although I never thought Shump even played like Wade to begin with). I say try to enjoy the moment and have a beer. If Lin comes crashing down to earth harder than the Roswell Aliens tonight I really dont care. Its all in fun.

Lin has basically resurrected my interest in the team again.

Lin does not play like a shooter, but Nash does. Nash is ready to shoot the ball off-balance just like Dirk or Larry Bird, but Lin wouldn't try too much off-balance shooting.

However Lin might have Nash's court sense and Vision(still improving), and he plays better defence and rebound well like Jason kidd.

I still would like to compare Lin to ex-Sun PG Kevin Johnson. Because he goes into paint as often as Kevin Johnson. you will see him attack the rim all the time. that's why he call himself an attacking point guard. He does need to have a much more consistent pull-up jumper like KJ did to make him unstoppable tho.

Please stop all these comparison's to proven players, Lin is like Lin right now, he had one good game, I'm rooting for the kid but if past experience taught us anything it is to wait until a player gets some games under his/her belt. The league and scouting do not know anything about Lin, once he is picked up by the opposing team's scouting report we will have to see just how good he is. Once teams adjust their defense toward him, make him shoot jumpers, trap him, take away his right then we will see the real Lin, but with all this pressure I hope he comes thru

Lin reminds me of Kidd, Cali connection.

Hopefully though startling does give him unnecessary jitters and force him into quick fouls.

If lin can do half the things he did against the nets, consistently, I'd be real happy. If we can get JR Smith, I think it will be game on. Move shump and fields off the bench, and all of a sudden, we have a decent 2nd line going. No more worst bench and depth in the league.

Kid is smart, he needs to work on his handles, pretty shakey when bringing the ball up the court when pressure is applied.

The rest of the knicks can help him push the ball up the court though, and give him the rock once past half court to facilitate.

What happened to all the love for Shump? I clearly remember people declaring the man crushes on him.

I always thought most of the board agreed Shump was much more suited as a SG. And maybe coming off the bench would do him some good since recently he's been playing a little off.

Fields is starting because he is playing well but long term I'd like to see him come off the bench as the main swing off the bench.

Shumpert is too good a defender. We are really overlooking how good he has been for us defensively.

Lin reminds me of Andre Miller and he brings some of the same things that Ramon sessions does as well.

He has filled that stat sheet everywhere he has played, I am excited to see him get big minutes

that's not a bad comparison. The only thing I worry about sometimes with Lin is his ball handling against pressure, so I hope he's been working on it lately

+1 If Lin can learn to stick his ass into annoying little guards while dribbling up the backcourt ala Magic, his life will be so much easier.
