Fixed.

Fair enough

FYI, I was talking Marbury (running the show), not Melo. Deron actually seems to be running the show over there whereas Melo just won a power struggle.

I am enjoying every second of DWill crashing and burning the Nets into the ground.

And damn, Delfino had a great game tonight for Houston. Didn't he use to play for Milwaukee?

That was never going to happen... I think it was Mike's way of saying "I quit".

Deron Williams is just hobbled.. will he ever get right? Who knows.. the wrist is probably damaged long term but he needs to get the ankle right in the off season.

Delfino was the player of the game. 6-8 from 3 point land with 8 assists.

After you get your coach fired, you gotta play like an MVP, so everyone will know it wasn't you.

He just doesn't have it anymore. You either do or don't. It took people a long time to realize & accept that Marbury just simply sucked near the end of his NBA tenure. Deron is in the same boat.

I can't stand the dude, and have been saying for a minute he can't shoot to save his life, but I did say he was a top 10 player.

Scratch that officially now, can't even blame it on the talent, he might be Marbury 2.0

Honestly Marbury is a pretty good comparison with Deron, they have the same play style but Deron is just a better version of him.

He at least could of made sure a mediocre or good coach was a assistant for the team. PJ Carlismo is a disaster as a head coach in the NBA. Didn't that guy coach OKC before Scott Brooks took over? I think they need to fire the GM for their team.

Who in their right mind thought that a team of Gerald Wallace, Joe Johnson, Brook Lopez, and Kris Humphreis would be a good supporting cast for D.Williams? None of those guys even resemble the type of players I would team him with. He needs a strong post player to play with.

He was top 10. I think he's woefully out of shape for a "superstar." He can't even play a whole game. Look at how the Nets falter in the second half. I think some conditioning this summer will do him well a la Baron Davis with GSW but he's blown it this year - and this was the crucial one.

Lots of times, people just age at different rates. It's kind of easy to point to Deron's salty attitude and say that's what's going on and it's understandable to say that no, Deron must still be a pretty great player and will get it back together. But Melo has an edge to his personality too -- just that his skills are still there. In the NBA, once your skills go, or your body breaks down, it's probably over for the most part. The guy is not close to All-Star play anymore.

Marbury was a moron, but he still could have put up 20 and 8 and been the main man if his skills/body were still there.

Dallas dodged a bullet.

I don't know what to make of it, I don't like him anyway, so IDGAF.

Williams from the get-go in college was doing a lot with not much physical talent... he flew under the radar in college and carried Illinois to an NCAA championship.

Marbury was heralded nationally since he was a teenager and basically underachieved in college.

Williams seems to be a prick... but to say the guy wasn't playing at a different level prior to the injuries and to say the injuries aren't affecting what little physical ability he was already working with is just not giving him a fair shake.

So did we. I know a lot of people were chiming in on D.Williams after we got Melo. I'm not going to call people's names, but I recall quite a few of the guys coveting this guy over Melo.

his decline definitely started with the wrist injury but it's been 2 years almost. it doesn't look like it will ever be better at this point.

That would be assuming anyone knows what "actually" happened.. what if a lot of the reports are just not that accurate... reporters have been known to embellish and gossip and rumors tend to grow in stature as they pass from mouth to mouth.

Then you have to look at is it really that bad in terms of karma for a player to not want to play for a coach? I don't think so..
