Nope. Just someone who thinks Gay is as terrible as you do

The Knicks dont need 2 bootleg versions of Melo and a scrub that can be had for free.

JR does everything Rudy does, at a fraction of the cost.

JR has shot 45% from the field once in his career

Rudy's done it 5 times.

Very similar.

I betcha Rudy would tell his friends privately that his surgery has affected his long jumpers.

What he's done in the past is irrelevant, since his surgery he has been dreadful.

But either way how do you plan on matching his 18 mil +bargs 10?

Doesn't work, and they are not taking that garbage.

Why are we giving up the pick, they are the ones with two overpaid players?

masai strikes again.

Since you think so highly of Rudy, why the hell does Toronto do that trade then?

They don't have a pick and #24 is in a weak draft. It doesn't really help us as much as they could use it.

Rudy was traded for Ed Davis, Tayshaun Prince, and Austin Daye

We would be giving them a 1st which is < than ED, Amare > the ghost of Tayshaun, and Novak = Daye

Who gives a crap about what Masai does? What do the Nuggets have to show for his brilliant move? A pick that will be in the 20's in 2014 and ANOTHER first round ouster. Wilson Chandler disappeared in the playoffs. Gallinari hasn't even had ACL surgery on the ACL he tore 3 months ago    and Mozgov still can't speak any english rotting on their pine.

IT'S ABOUT US.

Shump on the ball
Gay against the opponents top wings
Tyson at the rim

Makes us a far better defensive team and also gives us a slasher to the rim

They don't laugh.

They can't afford to laugh at ANY Bargnani trade proposal.

They can amnesty him, which is better.

They shed Bargnani only to take Stat's contract? And give up Gay too? Come on man.

You just made my point. Their other option is to cut him outright and not get anything for him.

Like I said, they don't laugh at any Bargs proposal.

How is getting Stat and Novak considered "getting something"? It's a negative to every team in the league.

I'm not saying I would do it, but far more ridiculous trades have happened in the NBA

Ok so let's all just propose anything as long as we attach that caveat. "This trade makes no sense but hey crazy things happen."

they dont want anything for him.

They want that money off their cap, the payments will neve go away, unless someone takes him for free.

The get that money off the cap, they can get a better player than Novak or broke down amare.

the trade makes no sense at all to them, and it really doesn't help us either.

Yeah it wouldn't make sense for Toronto either to do this. They'd be better off just amnestying Bargnani (less money). Honestly, that's likely whats going to happen cause no one is going to give them an expiring contract (cap benefit over amnesty) and/or a more useful player for him (player benefit over amnesty). But yes, stranger things have happened. Maybe they can find an Isiah Thomas like GM. The only way this would make sense for them is if they get to dump Fields contract as well.

Bargiani will probably be amnestied if they can't find a trade partner. He will probably go back to Europe.

Basically this.

IMO this thread has run it's course. I think the last 20 pages are "Knicks say no" and "Raptors don't take Knicks calls"

Bottom line is Knicks could offer a tempting offer to TOR, but Knicks would not hurt themselves like that.
meanwhile T-dot could make Bargs attractive to NY and take Novak etc off our hands, but they have no reason for that.

Basically we are the two worst partners since we both would prefer cap space.

I'd gladly take Rudy Gay here.

Forget about him & Melo in the starting line-up. Imagine him & Shumpert running up & down. Allowing Shump to go back to full time SG.

SHUMP, GAY & MELO vs STEPHENSON, GEORGE & WEST?

I'll take the chances.

Funny pointless note - when you put Amar'e in the the "trade finder" in 2K's association, Rudy Gay is always offered. Lol

I think Camby, White & Kidd(if his contract can be traded) in the deal would save the Raptors more money this yr & next instead of Novak, which would help the cause of getting Gay in the deal.

Return to New York Knicks
