Yes. Though, I'd prefer to keep at least Early or 1 of Shump or THjr. Jeremy Tyler can be tossed in instead. Lol

If you're a Melo fan before you're a Knick fan, sure it will be devestating.

Very good point on Melo vs. Knick fan --- I just want a decision --- large part of me could care less if Melo is here or not. Outstanding player? Yes Do I need him to be optimistic about my Knicks? No - not in the least.

That said - come on Melo -- lets make a call either way.

Melo also means immediate contention, either this year via trades for cap space or next year via expirings for cap space. With no Melo, we are looking at a rebuild.

But Kosmo, from Philly's perspective, are they going to get a better deal for cap space than eating a few million out of pocket for THJ, Shump, our rookies, 2018 first, and 2020 first (we can trade that, right?).

If LeBron tells Phil clear the space and I will come, the Knicks can give Philly a godfather offer.

Two first round picks, an all rookie player, a nice young piece and Shumpert and a few other prospects for basically 3 million dollars out of pocket? What better deal will come along?

Guys I have just received some alarming news. Carmelo Anthony WILL be signing with the Cavaliers. He has agreed to take a pay cut. Lebron James will resign with the Heat and the Heat will perform a sign and trade with the Cavaliers. The Heat will trade Lebron and Mario Chalmers for Kyrie Irving and Andrew Wiggins. This ultimately means that the Lebron and Carmelo combo in New York will not be possible but it will be exciting to see Lebron, Melo and Dion Waiters playing together. I am also excited to see Wiggins, Kyrie and Dwayne Wade all on the same team. It's also going to mean an unfortunate season once again for the Knicks

Of course. As much as I dislike LeBron and would rather win without needing him, if the opportunity presents itself, you take it.

I would try to hold onto Early.

I think Hardaway is plenty to get rid of Bargs (which has been reported we actually turned down that deal alredy)

Then I think Shumpert, Larkin, and STAT to Philly for space is enough as well. (I know you can't trade larkin in a multiple player deal but you could do stat and shumpert. Then larkin for a future 2nd rounder or unguaranteed contract).

That would then leave us with

Calderon/Prigioni
JR Smith/greek 2.0
LeBron/Early
Melo/Tyler (vet min)
Pau/Dalembert/Cole

I would go to war with that roster.

ROSTER

Walker Kessler/Daniel Gafford/Adem Bona
Nikola Jokic/Santi Aldama/Isaiah Stewart
Aaron Nesmith/Josh Hart/Jaime Jaquez
Alex Caruso/Keon Ellis/Justin Champagnie
Steph Curry/Chris Paul/Jase Richardson

Something big is up. That's for damn sure.

Because he didn't inform the media of his plans? Pretty sure that's just standard.
