this kind of matches up with what i saw. his defense was better in year 1 and after december his best shot, his 3, fell off. he did make some strides overall in rounding out his offensive game though. seems pretty fair.

None of the starters played tonight and will not join until mid August. Some may join the training camp earlier. I mean the team will not be at 100% until then. So not much to see right now. Still pre-selection.

I'm not feeling the way the organization seems to be kissing up to this dude. The honeymoon is over. This year we need results.

That "me and KP have a hectic texting schedule" thing Mills said came off pathetic and phony.

Those drives to the hoop around that chair are KP practicing how to score against the Cavs when Calderon gets caught against him on a switch.

KP trying to drive to the basket after breaking the 1st man down on the perimeter is a disaster, just go for the pull up J. Good to see he is practicing that.

Not for nothing but Robin Lopez is probably the best help bigman in the game.

That's my biggest question mark in regards to him become a dominant offensive force. His drives to the basket look a little awkard, which of course is to be kinda expected at 7'3. I personally hope they can mostly circumwent that problem by playing him at the 5. He'll start out closer to the basket and the opposing defender is slower. Center would also have to leave him more room for his shot.

KP will always look awkward driving to the rim at 7 foot 3. It's like people forget how tall he is. This is why he should be in the post more. If he wants to do fadeaways it's fine, but learn how to do them. He needs Dirk to teach him. He can't keep trying to go around people and drive at his height.

He should learn some post center moves tbh.

We got results. Idk why there's this notion that kp was horrible last year. In a year we added a player who averaged 18pts, a vet SG and a former double double player, all while keeping Anthony we saw KP average 18pts/7.3rb and 2 blks in his sophmore year.

I don't know exactly what people expect him to be apologetic for. It was a great year considering. Up until he got his first taste of injury he was a top 10 ranked defensive player. He dealt with nagging injuries all year, a pg who was all about himself. I think he did just fine. Its definitely something to build upon

Results in terms of what? Personal stats? Any number of wins for NYK, PO spot for the Knicks :o your statement begs for questions. if you asked me I 'd say that i would like to see and improved overall game by him and the Knicks where you can see light at the end of the tunnel. But a good draft spot as well, which means no PO for the sake of PO.

I agree it's really fair assessment of his year. At the beginning his offense came from moving without the ball and the end he seemed to be creating and attacking off the dribble.

Play him at the 5 to maximize his shot blocking

Play him at the 5 to maximize his shooting, agility, ability to attack a close out and ability to put the ball on the floor and pull up.

Or don't and keep putting players in a position to fail.

Now that's really radical. We needed to play him at the 4 because he was too skinny and besides, triangle.

Now you want us to play him where he's gong to help us win? Win?

You prefer winning over trying to use a system that worked with Michael Jordan in his prime? That was the great MJ, man.

How can you prefer we just win? If we win by using our players where they play best, Phil may just come back to NY and hit you with all of his rings! (I know, that might mean 2 on some fingers.)
