he's not even close to being the worst(he's actually pretty good) and there's no chance they'd move him for Melo.

he's not a starter, he's too small.

Ben Wallace was 6'9''
Size doesn't mean that damn much.
Tristen ain't that good though.

latest from Woj...nothing new

There's a real chance the Clippers and Paul, if they don't feel like there's a deal to be made on July 1...the Clippers can't wait around. They have contingency plans from going all in to rebuilding. That's unlikely but think of all the options...re-sign Chris, let Blake leave, do a trade for Carmelo or bring in Carmelo with Blake. How do you get Carmelo? Potentially Crawford or Rivers or a S&T with Redick if he was willing to go to NY. At this point, Carmelo has not decided he's willing to waive his NTC. They have talked to the Clippers in the past. Carmelo has issues & decisions to make about wanting to stay or leave. There's a part of him that wants to outlast Phil, but there may be a time he accepts a deal. If he does, the Clippers are and have been at the top of his list. If Chris starts to visit teams, I'm not convinced the Clippers don't move on. We have too many other decisions to make. The clock on that will be interesting. Teams will find a place for Chris. Clippers have to put a hard deadline on it. I don't think they can wait on a Paul decision. Maybe they have to trade for a PG and keep the rest of the team together.

"re-sign chris, let blake leave, bring in carmelo, or bring in carmelo with blake"

i mean blake for melo could work, but i guess they'd rather let him walk and trade for melo instead of giving us an assets worth a damn.

I believe Cleveland would be better equipped to beat GSW next year if they have a healthy and in shape Melo starting at "4" in place of Love, KOQ added to their bench, and another 3 and D back-up PG for the MLE who can give them good minutes... a la Delly in the 2016 finals. Of course, Lebron would have to play lights out again.

In the 3-way, we can get Love sent to Boston for a pick and some solid young 2-way guys.

So if they need more cash to add up to Melo $24 mil from the Cavs since a guy like Tristan only makes $15 mil, so the Cavs still need to add more to still even the trade in $$$. Maybe a like Love would be better fit playing the C pos starting here with a KP. Which let us still have a trade a for the PF vet from Port for a 15th pick for a better long term for Melo too.

Phil Jackson is a great a teacher teaching player on there weakness you listen he will improve both sides of the ball.

Pretty weird that nothing has leaked at all about a possible Carmelo trade...

it would be unfortunate if the clips fell apart

even though they have so little to offer if Paul and Griffin leave they suddenly move away from being a legit destination for Melo and the bargaining power drops

If you can swing a deal with great assets coming our way, multiple picks and a young talent, sure. If not, you let it play out.. stop undervaluing Melo at the 4..he played 74 games too..

Zero percent chance Melo at this stage if his career gets you even one pick, let alone multiple picks. Maybe a late first rounder, that's it.

Undervaluing Melo? I think you're overvaluing him. This isn't prime Melo anymore.

people want to get lottery picks for kyle o quinn, iirc you was one of them. oquin is a bum of the highest order... you guys are full of bs. sure its not prime melo, but your agendas become clear as day. if you really think kyle or baker or holiday could net us a lottery pick but melo aint worth ****.

if he wouldnt have the NTC teams would run in our doors and try to snatch him. phil destroyed his value via twitter

Actually I'm thinking the opposite. West isn't going to want his star players leaving just as he starts his job. So I think it improves the chances of Paul and Griffin stating and trying to bring Melo in a trade.

Not terrible you get Sabonis and another young player but Oladipo is terrible.

Makes me think the West knows that Paul is staying and/or they have something in the works to upgrade the roster. With the lack of assets I don't know what else they can do other than keep the main guys and try to get Melo for peanuts.
