Volkanovski vs. Max is going to be one helluva fight. I have no idea here.

I like Germaine over Nunes. She has the size, strength and striking ability. If I recall, I think GDR's takedown defense is pretty good, no? We'll see if the Lioness still has the hunger or whether she's been living soft.

Robbie's definitely got similar size, but his wrestling has been all defense. Usman's a different grappler altogether, I think he's gonna fair a lot better in the clinch situations.

Volk vs Max is definitely the highlight of the night.

GDR's takedown defense since Nunes has been perfect, 100% defense rate. But she hasn't had anyone really press her. Ladd woulda been that person but the fight was over in 16 seconds flat. So I'm still not really sure about GDR's takedown D but you're right that it's been good. And if she can keep the fight on its feet, she's got a real shot to pull this off. She's just that good defensively.

Do you think Usman can get Colby to the mat and control posture?

Hell yes he can. Did you see how Usman dominated and out muscled T.Woodley? Usman has crazy strength to be able to do that to a guy like Woodley, now i will say that IMO something went wrong with Woodley where it looked like maybe he was so shocked by the way Usman was manhandling him that he gave up in that fight. Colby is a strong kid as well but so is Woodley and he's also one of the best wrestlers in that weight class and in the whole UFC. I'm rooting for Colby and i'm actually a fan of him but if i was putting money on this fight i would unfortunately put it on Usman. A lot of times when you put two fighters with great ground games in the octagon together it will end up being a stand up fight but i don't feel that way with this fight cause Usman showed that he has no problem making it a wrestling match when he fought Woodley.

I seem to recall that there was something wrong with Woodley that night. I’m not sure that one is a good barometer. Look how Colby’s quickness and motor handled Lawler.

Nobody will ever deny Colby's motor cause he has one that can go for a full 5 rounds but Lawler and Usman isn't the best comparison. Lawler, while can grapple, would rather stand and bang in his fights and Usman, while getting much better, isn't really a stand up fighter and will take any fight to the ground where he's so damn strong. I mean unless he's winning and landing clean punches and kicks while standing he's going to the ground. I would love to see this fight not end up just a wrestling match and see both guys do some standing and punching. I just think Usman's strength is the biggest advantage between the fighters cause both have great wrestling.

I feel the same way and that strength can manifest as a clinch advantage too. So even if the fight doesn’t hit the mat long, I’m picture a lot of clinching along the cage and I think that will favor usman. The standing clinch could be where we spend a lot of this fight.

That Aldana knockout was crazy and then Geoff Neal came out and mighta upstaged her. This card has already been flames fam! Neal needs ranked competition from here on out.

Hooper's BJJ is ridiculous. He's gotta work on that striking though.

He took that punch from Teymur which rearranged Hooper's face (the slo-mo replay was hysterical) and kept on ticking. I thought Teymur was going to break him in two.

Ref should have let it continue for an extra 30 seconds, Covington would have been maimed for life.

I think it's pretty interesting that the judges had it dead even heading into the 5th round. Colby was actually winning the round with about 2min to go. More interesting that Colby staggered Usman a few times, as Usman admitted. Would liked to see how things would play out if Colby didn't have a broken jaw and utilized his wrestling. Like he was never a good striker to begin with anyway. Seems like he fought with his ego while Usman fought smart. Usman should continue to be smart and avoid a rematch. He could have easily lost

Colby didn't break his jaw. Usman broke Colby's jaw. Let's get that one right.

All credit goes to Usman. Colby is tough dude, no doubt, and a great fighter. Just not the champion.

Would want to see

Usman vs Edwards.

Colby vs Tyron for number 1 contendership

Masvidal is going to stick with money fights if he knows what's good for business
