He boarded and passed in one motion. That's top level stuff. That takes some kind of court awareness. Maybe his hoops IQ is growing

Last preseason he was doing a lot of gran and go stuff. Maybe this is his role for us - off the bench F who will never be a consistent scorer but can do some nice plays like this

Clyde_Style wrote:It is almost like Hahn is paving the way for Payton and maybe Randle to come off the bench. He's not 100% shackled to a party line, but he's still a company man at heart

People judge him too much based on his MSG telecasts, most of the time because that's the only time they watch and listen to him. He has to tout the company line a little, keep things positive for the viewers tuning into the channel that's run by the team.

Listen to his podcasts and when he's a guest on other people's shows. He's a true, logical Knicks fan, and one of our good ones in the media.

This guy on the other hand....

I love it when poor Alan comes on with what he thinks is a nice suit and this guy shows up in a three piece with pinstripes. The disgust on Alan's face is priceless, like he just saw Ewing miss a fingeroll to win a playoff game.

I’ll say this. We always hear “you have to earn your minutes” and I believe you do! That said, the vets are constantly being outplayed in 3 games (with the exception of probably nerlans). So Thibs better not play vet favorites and if the vets are being out worked be willing to go the other way here too!

Quickley-RJ-Kev-Obi-Mitch looks hungry!

I dont like how people are saying Randle/Payton like they are a duo or come together in a package or something. Move Payton to the bench, he is ruining the starting unit! This is why I hate plus minus stats. Also, the kids played against the Cavs younglings so no comparison can be made there.

Randle showed how valuable he is today, pure grit and toughness. 18 points on efficient shooting, solid defense and beasting the boards. Unleash that man!

Quickley / Rivers
Barret / Bullock
Burks / Brazdeikis
Obi / Knox
Mitch / Noel

That’s enough shooting to prevent every team from going zone on us. Our key players need space to operate.

Thibs, playing politics has gotten every coach fired as the losses pile up. This is the team that’s most conducive to winning. Don’t screw up something so obvious.

I feel like Kenny Payne came for Other reasons as well but Knox was one of them. He and Cal see something in him

Knox just needs someone who believes in him and he has that now

Cal said 3 years so this should be the breakout Knox season

Also is it me or did Julius tighten his handle during the offseason? I heard he spent the last six months doing dribbling exercises and further improving his core strength as well as his spinning acceleration.

Listen Julius, it’s nothing personal, but you don’t fit the team’s plans. Play ball and you’ll land on your feet.

Thibs seems boneheaded enough (for the better) to go against managements wishes and play the lineups he thinks makes the most sense to win. I’m optimistic Thibs won’t play politics too much even tho I don’t see Randle completely falling out of rotation if he’s not traded or injured

Knox plays best as a catch & shoot/catch & drive player in a spread offense. He gets in trouble when he has to think too much. He can thrive in the right role.

That was also the first time I’ve seen Mitch doing smthg on O more than dunks or cleanup. He was doing more and integrated within.

A 3 is near.

Randle for Hield would be good.

the playing hard part is going to be the lynchpin of player development. throw the yutes out there and see who does and who doesn't night in and night out.

best individual team tv production in the league. no one is close. comparable to national nightly. we are spoiled.

edit: i always forget about the YES broadcast. sorry, brooklyn. recurring theme, right? also very good. and some national talent has graduated from denver's altitude (allie laforce comes to mind). i think the key is dedicated networks because the fox sports and comcast sports of the world are all kinds of ass.
