Yeah, he does have those games occasionally. He possesses passing abilities that IQ doesn’t. Plus, he has the size and better defensive abilities than him too. I would prefer a PG who is more consistent and stable even if it means parting with draft picks.

I prefer those things too...perhaps Payne and Thibs could get that out of Lonzo..maybe...

I want us to offer Obi and a FRP + filler to try and pry Brogdan from the Pacers. But if we end up with Rose, Quickley and another experienced backup vet PG ... Wait! Oh nooooooooo :o

Why start burning our trade bait before real stars are available? Save our ammo to form a championship-caliber big 3 next summer, the difference between Lonzo and Brogdon wouldn't be particularly significant...especially not if the Brodgon option limited our ability to eventually acquire a Booker / Mitchell / Fox / Lavine / Sexton / etc.

TBF, I am still shocked that Cam Payne has become a legit a NBAer. He looked absolutely dreadful for the Bulls.

We need that boy here I'm telling you. He will play the best ball he's ever going to play in his career under thibs.

Lonzo is wildly talented and is alsoa nightly adventure. He obviously has the tools to light it up on any given night. He also seems to have good character. Texted Zion after his 3-18 clunker to assure Z that he’d ball out the next game - and he dropped 33. He’s just wildly unpredictable. If he is available (doubtful if Zion likes him), the cost is palatable, you get him because you have now seen that an elite coaching staff can mitigate the valleys for teachable and talented players.

A couple nice drives to the hoop in this game too. Maybe there’s more to see from his off the dribble game than meets the eye.

He has been improving and slowly adding to his game. Maybe he'll never be Lilliard/Curry but i don't think we have seen peak Lonzo yet. Seems to still be getting better so is a good player to bet on

hmm is there a scenario where a talented but inconsistent Ex-Laker joins the knicks gets coached by tibs and realizes his all nba potential?

i still think the Knicks are getting either Lonzo or Schroder. both are massive upgrades over Payton so I really can’t complain to be honest

Just seems like a pretty solid fit timeline and skill wise. We don’t need him to be CP3 with the playmaking ability of Randle & RJB.

Still not 100% sold on Lonzo but him and Randle keep bringing each other up in interviews so I could see a push in summer for him to get here. If they are for sure bringing in another pg I'd rather him than trading for Brogdan but I'd be fine with him or Lowry.

I trust Johnnie Bryant with young guards... I've repeated ad nauseum my love for Lonzo the player for a long time. A short term Lowry deal/Lonzo long term offseason would be amazing for where we're at right now.

What about a S&T between NOP & LAL to re-unite Lonzo with Lakers. :D

Yeah, He's got talent but Im not seeing that he's "Wildly" talented....he's not really athletic or explosive but he's skilled, plays smart just wish he was more consistent and willful....I'll be watching him closely these last 6 or 7 games.

Brogdan wasn’t an elite driver when he first joined the league either and now he’s near the top of the league in drives per game. Lonzo looks like he has the athleticism to be more of an attacker too. Maybe he just need the confidence? He’s been hitting a ton of ridiculous step back threes lately and you’d think that would help open up more driving lanes for him. I think he could get to 10-12 drives per game instead 5, it be pretty transformative for his game.
