When was the last time we could stay the knicks built anything? Last time we were good it was for 1 year then everyone retired then Mike Woodson got fired. If anything they are telling me to trust the process. We will have the same team with positive additions, same coaching staff, and same FO. I was upset but its ok to be proven wrong. Choose to roll with it until proven wrong. We have all our picks and young players to dangle too.

I'd love to be wrong and see this team in the conference finals. I think it would take several plane crashes for that to happen. But perfect storm for us barring Embiid and Giannis running into each other and breaking their legs.

Kemba plays 70 games at 25-30 minutes and miraculously stays healthy
This lets Rose continue the 25 minute bench role and he stays healthy
RJ makes the same gains he made in spot up shooting and adds the ability to make a layup in traffic off a close out
Julius doesn't get hurt from his coach playing him 40 minutes and he can become a league average efficiency player with better creators around him
IQ shoots 40%+ from 3 while being good defensively and anchors a really strong bench with Rose, Toppin, Burks and Noel
Mitch is the dominant FG affecter and makes All Defense ... he looked like he'd solved the stupid foul problem at start of last year before the freak injuries, and he's healthy going into the playoffs

Was against signing on for a Julius Randle-led team after the first round flameout, but this isn't so bad. It's a team-friendly, highly tradeable contract. Worst comes to worst, the Knicks take steps backward, they can probably find a way to move Julius (assuming he's healthy) and get something good back.

This wasn't the dream for the offseason but it's a sensible alternative that doesn't prevent the FO from making moves in the future.
