Why would Sacramento want Julius Randle for an explosive PG? Randle is averaging 18 PPG as a number one option and he shoots…. A LOT.

Starting to think no one would want Randle locked up for 4 years with his attitude and being a **** teammate

Perhaps because Fox has an even worse contract and that they have two other PGs.
Difference is Fox is someone averaging 21 & 5 on 45%. Randle is 19/10/5 on 41% and 30% from 3. Those numbers are absolutely awful. Fox makes a decent amount more than Randle but idk I have a hard time thinking the Kings would do that.

I’m sure they’d trade Fox for better value than Randle
Why didn't youninclufe Fox's shooting percentages? It'd be a swap of headaches.

His contract isn't the worst and he isn't being paid like a no.1 option more like a no. 3 on a good playoff team. If a team has their set options, and acquiring a guy like Randle is NOT THAT BAD. If a team trades for him to lead the team, obviously this year speaks for itself and that GM should be fired.

I also would like to see what type of players the Knicks are looking to return. Would it be complimentary pieces around RJ or someone above RJ? It will really tell how they feel about RJ and the role he has with this team in the future.

Never understood Noel's signing when he has been Mr. Glass in his career. Hopefully someone sees value in him if the Knicks want to keep Mitch. I do not want to keep both Mitch and Noel, both are redundant and will probably cost 14+ million to resign him.

Shouldn't attach an asset to trade Fournier. I would rather keep him, his contract isn't that bad.

With that in mind, looking at Randle as a 3rd option would be good trade him to Portland. Next year, with Lillard, McCollum and Randle, they can possibly make one last run before Dame says I'm out. Portland is also midget heavy (Dame 6'2, CJ 6'3, Simons 6'3, Powell 6'3).

Randle
IQ

for

Covington (FA this offseason year)
Nance (FA next year)
Anfernee Simons

The other team I thought of was the Kings because they are so guard-heavy as well and may need a scoring big man. I'm not so sure if Kings are willing to trade Fox (I'm not a big fan now that his defense is as bad as Kemba without knees).

Nah, it’s not desperation. It just hasn’t sunk in with you yet that Randle is having a nervous breakdown and could be rendered worthless. He is FUBAR. There is no coming back from this. The man is in a fairly unprecedented emotional descent and it could get a whole lot worse if he doesn’t get out of this pressure cooker.

I get that. We noticed this since December and initially I chalked it up as his personality being aloof. Then I realized it's more than that and his body language was just horrid.

Still, his contract isn't all that bad if you peg him as a no.3 guy on a team with 2 max players already there. That's why I think Portland might be a good destination. Portland either needs to break up the core (Dame doesn't want that) or get a 3rd guy but won't break up their core. The trade I proposed will do that.

BTW, Feb 2nd can't come fast enough because his stock is dropping like bitcoin. I'm hoping he can string up 3-5 good games so other teams say maybe just wants out.

He does it constantly. Always leaves his man on D to grab an easy board or just stand around as they score open looks and cuts to the basket. It happens a LOT. Then he points at someone else and slowly jogs down the other end. Just like when he argues with the refs for not getting a call as the play continues on the other end of the court and he is slowly jogging back.

He is a lazy...low IQ player. He has given zero effort and accepts zero blame for his poor play. Dude still can't recognize a double team after three seasons here. Spin moves into turnovers and jump passes to no one in particular leading to turnovers. This is constantly happening. Every game this year and the year prior to last.

Leads one to believe he got his money and does not care anymore. Get him out of here ASAP. I DON'T CARE IF WE USE ASSETS OR TAKE BACK TRASH. GTFOH!

Really good example of Randle's character came last year. Our guy Gallinari congratulated him for his MIP award before the game and this was his reaction

Julius Randle has had a **** year, and if we could trade him, we should. Every year though, there's always someone on this board that gets EXTRA HATE, an escape goat, and it's kind of annoying. We like to beat a dead horse and over exaggerate how awful a player is, like he banged all your moms or something. He's been bad but damn. Last year it was Elfrid Payton, we even went through with this with Melo, even Gallo was a whipping boy for struggling at times his first few years. Just something I've noticed over the years.
