Well, now I have another reason (apart from Clyde's announcing) to watch the Knicks. As a Raps fan I've watched OG's whole career and although I get that Masai had to do something I kind of wish this wasn't it. You're in for a treat. Many of us Raps fans have thought for a while that OG is the most impactful defender in the league, hands down.

Also for people wondering about his offensive potential, there have been a couple times when Siakam was hurt and OG stepped up into a much bigger offensive role with surprising (to some) success. Last year about 1/3 of his games he had 20+ points and had a few 30 pt games too. He is never going to be a 1st or 2nd option but he can definitely have a solid offensive impact. he is also a clutch guy who has hit some big shots, including this Raptor classic. Note the unique OG walk off. Dude is cold and hilarious. Hope he does great with you...

I noticed in the post-game interview last night, Randle mentioned how the "guys [he's] playing with" (i.e., OG) have opened the floor for him and then sort of semi-awkwardly looked away... I think it's pretty clear that he's super stoked about the trade and he sees how well OG fits into the offensive and defensive schema. In contrast to RJ.

I like the way OG jogs up and down the court. He's very calm. Reminds me of "Chief".

Right on. His calm, stoic demeanor you can tell is good for our squad.

He hardly ever changes his expression. Just goes about his business and gets sht done

Right. I think we're both in agreement concerning the identity of the player who could learn the most from such stoic behavior.

Totes magotes. Said player has already shown considerable improvement in that area this year. Better vibe, less complaining, more smiling and pure enjoyment of the game. Still needs work, but have to give credit

Yes, he has! I've noticed. And it seems to have a snowball effect, if you will. It seems to me that he's beginning to realize that he can do this! I think I recall him actually snickering to himself as he jogged back after a bad call. I was very impressed.

Julius yelling and flexing for OG was one of my favorite moments of the game

RJ has looked real good in a Raps jersey.

Also has 26 points at the half right now.

Aww, your first false dawn. Don't worry. There will be others. I really hope he does well and takes that next step but I've seen this movie before.

I've followed RJ for a very long time. I know he's very inconsistent.
But I've always been a believer in him coming home and reviving his career. He always brought his best for Team Canada and seems to play with a lot more fun and pride.
I wanted the Raps FO to trade for him last season FWIW. (Caught a lot of backlash from fellow Raps fans)
