Don't see a big trade for KAT happening. Think bargain basement center backup.

so here's what I think is happening after googling around

randle will receive 10-year vet status after 24-25 season. this will make him eligible for 35% supermax. he cannot sign a 35% supermax today or in august. it'll have to be next summer

the most anyone can offer randle today is 30%.

Randle can get much more money if he refuses the extension to re-sign next season.

Now, he only can get 140% of his previous salary (29M), total 190/4.

Next season he can get 35% of the cap space (155), total 314/5.

there is no way in hell we are offering randle 314/5

not when Brunson is likely to be a team player and sign his extension so that we can eventually keep Mikal as well.

we didn't trade all those picks not to sign Mikal back long term either.

Similar case on his first extension and he extended early

I think the options are he extends early or we probably really have to consider trading him.

imagine this:

randle holds out and says "**** it I want my 5/300"

we give him 5/300 next summer

and then we go crawling back to brunson asking him to be the guy to leave money on the table after watching us fork over money to OG and Randle.

0% folks. 0% thats gonna happen.

I absolutely believe we are making a play for Towns and I HATE IT. But if I were to guess, KAT will be a knick.

I think CP made this rumor up for clicks and you all are falling for it. It's not gonna happen and that's a very good thing.

I'm wagering all the monies right now that If KAT becomes a Knick he gets in a physical confrontation with Josh Hart at some point.

People wouldn’t take a 50/42/90 pf/center because of his soft stigma. Unbelievable

Why would Minnesota trade him to the Knicks? For who...Randle and Mitch? I seriously doubt it when they are going to have to pay Randle later.
