Happy about Kolek. He really rounds out our backcourt perfectly

Just need some Center depth now and we're the deepest team in the league

Unless Rokas does something exceptional there's no room on this team with Kolek already signed for 4 years. He looked slow and sloppy overall, very underwhelming compared to Kolek who moves with sharpness and precision

if he had the brain of Patrick beverly he could be an all-star.

Doesn't matter... this board was VERY high on him during SL. Point is. - SL doesn’t necessarily mean Jack

check HL at :25

handoff.

turns the corner

keeps dribble alive deep into lane

finishes with contact

rokas cant do that bc his dribble isn't good enough

He just got off the plane, he has years of footage overseas that says otherwise. Let's get him acclimated here with the team and he will look much better in the games that follow.

Look at how I phrased it. He'd have to do something exceptional and significantly better than Kolek to even be a third string guard on this team. Kolek is signed. He is not. After 4 games it will be definitive, but being visibly inferior to Kolek after one game just made the odds of him making the team improbable.

Airballs aside, def seems like a lot to work with with Pacome. He stands out already. Lots of confidence and moves well, doesn't seem lost at all.

Trying not to overreact, but Kolek looks like a natural floor general. And that’s what we need more than Deuce, right now. I love Deuce but our players had to work so hard to get shots while he was on the floor.

So, are all the rookies future stars or busts? What is it?

Knicks should have left Jockitchbitus in Europe, where at least mystery around his game might have fetched a late 2nd rounder.

Won't get a box of stale cheetos for him now.

Kolek is a pure point. He made the game easier for everyone around him.

Pacome Dadiet's frame and mobility are enough to justify the pick. He defended Brandon Miller well in isolation, though Miller hit some impressive shots. Offensively, he worked well in the flow of things but shot really poorly. Probably a project, but a worthwhile one.

Hukporti has a good motor, good hands, and hunts contact on screens. He tried a lot of moves with touch around the basket, but missed a bunch of 'em, so jury's out on that. Looks like a project, but he has some interesting tools.

Rokas started off terribly, with 3 TOs. Once he settled in, he flashed a nice off the dribble pull-up ability, but not much else. He's got decent size, has to show more.

Obi's little bro did alright. Duane Washington was doing too much, but got hot late. And the euro big from last summer league looked solid again.
