They don't mind paying him way more than his worth because he stuck with them all those down years. We don't have a history with him so he's just a player worth $30 mil making $56 mil to us. Then the personality fit with the Knicks just ain't strong we known as the meanest fans in the league lol.
A player worth $30m these days is Immanuel Quickley. $56m is the new $30m.
Inflation is a b####!
You got the wrong one IQ don't have a bigger fan on this board. 20/5/7 with great defense at 25 years old? Sign me up.
I got an even better one: 22/6/4 at 23 years old for a bargain basement price of $25m.

Speaking seriously, I would have preferred that we got another 7 footer with a pulse and some defense, while keeping the entire Nova crew intact, instead of trading for KAT. But let's face it: Randle turning into a bloated overpaid contract on the Knicks or walking away for nothing was just a matter of time. And his contract situation would have been a distraction this season. With KAT you at least do not have that distraction. Not for another four years. Our prime contention window. Provided KAT gives us at least 60 games per season, we will be in contention and we won't regret his contract.
You can tell I am getting closer to the acceptance stage.
