Build a Franchise (Season 8) Discussion Thread- Announcement on page 75

Congrats to 2010 and the Toronto Raptors, 2024-25 Bubble champion! 2010 has clearly built a contender, a defensive juggernaut with some bench scoring as well. An overall complete and well built roster who should be contending for this seasons BaF championship as well led by the best young player in the game, and Bubble MVP Victor Wembanyama. To beat AD, Luka, Barnes and the Pistons in the semis and then following that up by overwhelming Steph and Giannis? Tremendous job and tourney for the team from the North.

Congrats also to NewEra, who has once again put in the work to be a top team in the always competitive Western Conference. One bad night will not define this season for the Warriors...I'm pretty sure NewEra is already working on improving this version of Golden State.!

With the Bubble tourney now concluded, we shift all of our attention to BAF. I will finish all remaining roster moves tomorrow. I will also start looking to put the rosters into the sim and start getting ratings out to everyone by mid week hopefully. Once again, please get all survey and rankings into me sooner than later. So far, four GMs have responded. We will have opening night sometime during Thanksgiving week assuming all goes well between now and then.

Going over the tourney, I will say that Toronto probably had the toughest run to a championship any team has ever had. Going through Minnesota, the Clippers, San Antonio, Detroit and Golden State? Wow...murderers row of opponents!!

Held them to 96.0PPG as well...Minnesota scored more in the first round than any other team. Very impressive. If that defense translates to the sim, look out league!

Good game NewEra!

So first off, man…just wanna say it feels good to win something! Winning the 2024 Bubble Tourney Championship is an accomplishment, something to feel proud of, and although the platform is different I’m hoping this bodes well for BaF sim performance.

This is a nice first stepping stone as the Raptors seek to gain entrance into true legit BaF championship contention. It won’t be easy, but neither was this Bubble Championship.

We had a tough road and had to go through some great teams:

• An up and comer full of top young talent in the Minnesota Timberwolves

• Perennial west contender, the Los Angeles Clippers with SGA, Towns & company

• The 3x defending BaF threepeat champions, the San Antonio Spurs

• The newly emerged BaF championship contender Detroit Pistons

• And the BaF 2020 champion | 2021 Bubble Tourney champions, the Golden State Warriors

Congrats to our team and players for establishing a defensive identity with efficient scoring and securing a convincing victory!
