Seriously? Kornet is a minimum contract player who used to be a Knick. The 6th man you are talking about Payton Pritchard would have been shipped a long time ago if he was a Knick. Either of these players would average 6-8 mpg if they were in Knicks uniform under Thibs.

Unfortunately I feel like this sentiment would be 100% true.

I don’t think Thibs is that forward-thinking. His focus is on the regular season and seeding.

The silver lining is that if the Knicks had won last night, they might’ve been riding high with false confidence. This loss keeps them grounded, which is good. KAT doesn’t look right and could use some rest.

KAT needs to rest his hand for 2 weeks (minimum). The Knicks can afford that. Thibs, however, can't imagine that world.

Actually I feel like the patellar tendinopathy is the issue here much more than his hand. He definitely looks like some time off would benefit him. Hopefully that comes to fruition once Mitch comes back.

Knicks built a team with no bench where 2/5th of the starting lineup, KAT and OG, are notorious for missing huge chunks of games.

What could go wrong?

Oh, and coached by a coach who doesn't believe in rest and coaches every game like it's game 7 of the finals.
(minus the usual ability to adjust that finals coaches have)

Bump this thread before we lose another national broadcast. Coincidence?
Are you fans of the team or the player?

The coach is a joke, and if you support him at this point you are one as well.

Even an old and out of touch Vince McMahon did a better at running the WWE than Thibs does at coaching this roster.

Brunson and Towns dragging this team to a top 5 record speaks volumes about their talent.

Thibs is the keeping the beach ball underwater.

When the Knicks get blown out by the Celtics on Sunday, perhaps management will seriously consider canning Thibs in the offseason.

He simply is out of his depth against elite competition.

Nah, they’re all waiting for a healthy Mitch, OG and Hart to solve all their problems on the defensive end.

I took a break on this team before the ASB because the head coach is so blatantly disruptive to this team having a chance to compete in the playoffs against the best of the best.

I came back to find a post like this and and-1 it. Thibs is what he is, and what he always has been. He's both why the Knicks have a top-5 record, and why they can get so easily dealt with by elite teams with elite coaching. This is not a new development or a change in opinion for many here - it's simply what we've always known and/or feared to be true.

Am I the only one that realizes Thibs is playing Precious so much to prepare for the return of Mitch since he's well behind schedule and the team will have to learn how to be competitive with 2 big lineups in under 2 months?
