Man if Clay Holmes is Julius Randle, then Rodon really has to be JR Smith. You never know what you'll get with that guy. Good pitching though. Away game, against a good pitcher. Will Warren forced us to dig into the bullpen early yesterday and he answered the call.

Weaver needs to get maxed.

Weaver has been in the league a while. Why did I think that he was in his mid 20's and was home grown?

No he doesn't. We just need him ready for the playoffs tbh

Let Boone cuss the umps out. We need Jazz in the line up and at 2nd more than Boone needs to be in the dugout.

He's gotta be patient, next season you'll be able to challenge calls at the plate (i think?) and this stuff will be irrelevant

And this

https://www.tmz.com/2025/04/18/yankees-jazz-chisholm-jr-suspended/

Boone or Judge needs to tell him straight up that he's too important to be getting suspended or kicked out of a game. Make him see it from that angle.

I don't mind the passion. He wants to win. But be smart about it. These umps are itching to flex their ego at the plate.

If Judge argued after every bad call he'd be suspended for the season. Like literally nearly every game umps call BS strikes on him and he just shakes his head and goes back to the dugout. It's not worth it.

I wouldn't mind using Stanton in a similar way to how teams use Kawhi. Keep him out of many games throughout the regular season and then when the team is about a month away from the postseason you play him regularly the rest of the way.

I know the A's would demand a massive overhaul of talent, but imagine adding Mason Miller to this bullpen. Most games would be decided by the 5th inning with a pen of Tim Hill, Fernando Cruz, Johnny Lasagna, Ian Hamilton, Luke Weaver, Devin Williams and Mason Miller.

Judge doesn’t steal bases or pitch like Otani so he’s holding Boone and the Yankees back.

That’s the logic of some of the Thibs defenders. Figure I should apply it to the Yanks

Judge is the Thibs of major league players. He'll give you a great regular season performance, but doesn't do much in the playoffs.

Hey, Pete's doing his best impersonation of Judge. Honestly, this isn't new. One example, Beltran had a miserable first year with the Mets. I would think that he'll break out right around the time we play you guys. :D

I doubt Soto stays slumping for long, this guy is one of the best hitters I've ever seen at the plate. Like I would spend money to watch him duel with great pitchers.

Yall gotta relax over there

When things are going well Cashmans own finger prints will always show up. Weaver should be the closer but Devin Williams will probably have to blow 10 saves to lose his job.

Make weaver the closer

The thing with Williams is his stuff isn't impressive at all even if he figures it out.

Cruz and weaver both better by far

How many players OPS 125 and are told they're in a slump?

That said, I hope he breaks out of his "slump" soon.
Go Knicks!! Go Mets!!

As for the Jets . . . just keep it entertaining.

I’m enjoying watching him even during this slump. Just watching him work an AB is a lesson in hitting. He’ll be fine.

The man also has a strong effect on his teammates too. They learn from watching him plan and work. He'll be good. Man has the brass balls to show up on the biggest stage.
