Lebron James will resign with the Heat and the Heat will perform a sign and trade with the Cavaliers. The Heat will trade Lebron and Mario Chalmers for Kyrie Irving and Andrew Wiggins. This ultimately means that the Lebron and Carmelo combo in New York will not be possible but it will be exciting to see Lebron, Melo and Dion Waiters playing together. I am also excited to see Wiggins, Kyrie and Dwayne Wade all on the same team. It's also going to mean an unfortunate season once again for the Knicks

That just cites the same ESPN report about Stat and Bargnani. It doesn't further corroborate, it just repeats it.

Well this is the first I've seen of any report saying the Knicks are looking to move both guys.

Ah, okay, Yeah, was in part VI.

And our 2018, 2020, and 2022 first round picks, yes.

I'd give up...

...if it meant getting Melo, LeBron, and Gasol on this team.

Is Moocow's scenario even plausible?

But yes, without a doubt.

No way - Shump too valuable and what would Lebron/Gasol do for us anyway?

Maybe Phil is close to moving both or at least closer than what we have heard. I have no idea, I'm speculating and hoping lol. But if so, maybe the next step is to talk to LeBron. If that happens, and we've got the trades lined up, they won't go through until Phil has a commitment.

I don't think the Knicks are giving up assets to move Amar'e and/or Bargs unless they have a commitment from Melo and/or Bron. So the trades are, in fact, kind of secondary as far as being finalized.

Calderon- 7 million
Ellington- 2.7 million
Dalambert- 2 million cap hit if cut
Artest- still on books for 2 million?

less than 14 million in salaries committed? Leaves us with almsot 50 million in space (we could create more through trades, other stretches, etc.). That is room for Melo and LeBron, about 7 or 8 million for Pau, then we have the trade exception to add someone.

My point is, if LeBron wants to come here it is happening. Its not IF we can do it, its IF LeBron wants it.

Don't see Philly taking on Amare never mind Amare and Bargs. It's not like shump, thj, early, Larkin etc are that great of an incentive for them. You're making it sound like Phil is just waiting for the word from Lebron and then Philly will automatically facilitate it for us by taking our throw aways.

someone who thinks they are copying carl2680

and if you think The heat are going to hand over the best player in the world you are out of your mind. I think Phil would be more willing to do a S&T than riley.

Riley handing over LeBron? Yeah I don't think so.

Don't read into that one. Plenty of players, coaches, and executives are in Vegas now for the summer league, which starts on Friday.

Isnt Chalmers a free agent?

Yep

And I don't know what the Cavs cap situation looks like.
